Description
  +
The Angels of Death MC is an outlaw motorcycle club operating in Algonquin, Liberty City where they frequently hang out at their clubhouse located in North Holland. They receive Heroin from the Triads and deal Cocaine with the Spanish Lords. Similar to the relationship between the Albanian Mafia and the Ancelottis, the Angels of Death act as extra muscle for the Triads.

  +
Unlike The Lost MC, who in 2008 only have chapters in Liberty City and Alderney, the Angels of Death have numerous chapters including ones in the UK, Europe, Vice City, Canada, San Fierro, and Australia as well as one in nearly every American state. The Angels of Death also have a theme park in Florida and sell branded merchandise such as bed linen, books, party sets, diapers and even dildos.

According to their official in-game website, angelsofdeathonline.com, the Angels of Death started in San Andreas in 1949 as a small riding club, later becoming a gang for "people dissatisfied with a non-segregated society". Despite officially denying it on their website, it is inferred there and by other characters that the Angels of Death are white supremacists.
The Angels of Death are an outlaw biker gang operating around Algonquin, where they frequently hang out at their clubhouse located in North Holland, Liberty City. They recieved Heroin from the Triads and deal Cocaine with the Spanish Lords. Like the case of the Albanian Mafia and the Ancelottis, the AOD act as extra muscle for the Triads. Unlike The Lost MC, who only have chapters in Liberty City, Alderney City, and Los Santos, the Angels of Death have numerous chapters including ones in the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Canada and Australia as well as one in nearly every state of America. The Angels of Death also have a themepark in Florida and sell branded merchandise such as bed linen, books, party sets, diapers and even dildos.

  +
Known members include leader Lester Arnold, road captain Joseph Johnson, lieutenant Albert Lawson and another unnamed lieutenant.
According to their official in-game website, angelsofdeathonline.com, the AOD started in San Andreas in 1949 as a small club for people unsatisfied with a non-segregated society. Lester Arnold is the leader of the Angels of Death and was born in San Fierro, along with Road Captain Joe Jon Johnson.

Their favorite radio stations are Liberty City Hardcore, Liberty Rock Radio 97.8 and Anvil.
In Grand Theft Auto IV, they are operating around Beechwood City, can be seen around the Burger Shot and basketball court in Beechwood City, and can also be found in BOABO.

  +
Appearance
In The Lost and Damned, Angels of Death members do not spawn in Beechwood City or BOABO anymore, they only spawn around their clubhouse in North Holland. In The Lost and Damned, the player can enter The Angels of Death clubhouse during multiplayer.

  +
The Angels of Death are identifiable by their distinctive back patch, featuring their signature "Winged Skull" with three rockers; a top rocker with the club name, a bottom rocker of the city (e.g. Liberty City, Los Santos), and an "MC" rocker placed just right of the skull. The gang's membership comprises of white males, often middle-aged or older. The Angels of Death dress like stereotypical bikers, wearing decorated leather or denim cuts, Perfecto-style leather jackets, red flannel shirts, gang T-shirts, bandannas, jeans or leather pants, and motorcycle boots. Common imagery on their clothing includes gang symbols, skulls, and Iron Crosses, a nod to both their biker lifestyle and white supremacist ideals. The Lost and Damned expands the appearances, including younger male members, and introducing old ladies, who often dress in a gothic style.

  +
Events
In The Ballad of Gay Tony, Angels of Death members do not spawn in Beechwood City but they do in BOABO. They also spawn in North Holland near their clubhouse and Northwood, near Luis' safehouse.

  +
Events of Grand Theft Auto IV
In Grand Theft Auto IV, they are operating around Beechwood City, and can be seen around the Burger Shot and basketball court there. They can also be found in BOABO.

In GTA IV<nowiki/>'s Multiplayer Mafiya Work mode, Kenny Petrovic reveals that the leader of the AoD organization (Lester Arnold) has a bike which he calls "Sexy Charlie," and then orders it to be destroyed.
In Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Hsin labels the Angels of Death as one potential suspect for the sabotage of the Triads. He hires Lester to team up with Huang to investigate. Lester attempts to gain access into the gang in order to obtain intel, however the drugs and biking as part of the admission test is overwhelming for him, thus Huang assists by taking over on the biking stunts, attacking The Lost Brotherhood members and obtaining drugs. However, after having sex with Meredith, The Angels of Death leader's girlfriend, Lester learns that the gang is innocent in regard to the Triads' sabotage.

  +
Events of The Lost and Damned
  +
In The Lost and Damned, Angels of Death members do not spawn in Beechwood City or BOABO and only spawn around their clubhouse in North Holland. The mission Liberty City Choppers suggests there is a chapter present in Tudor; however, it is not seen outside of this mission. The AoD bikers can also be found at their main supplier Hsin Jaoming's Linen Lounge nightclub in North Holland at certain times.
  +
  +
In The Lost and Damned Multiplayer, the player can enter the Angels of Death Clubhouse.

Events of The Ballad of Gay Tony
In The Ballad of Gay Tony, Angels of Death members do not spawn in Beechwood City but they do in BOABO. They also spawn in North Holland, near their clubhouse and Northwood, near Luis' safehouse where they can be seen patrolling the streets and mingling with the residents, despite the fact that their turf does not extend to these areas.
  +
  +
The Angels of Death play no role in the storyline.
  +
  +
Events of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
  +
In Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Hsin Jaoming lists the Angels of Death as one potential suspect group for the sabotage of the Triads in 2009. He hires Lester Leroc to team up with Huang Lee to investigate.
  +

Lester attempts to infiltrate into the gang in order to obtain intel; however, the drugs and biking as part of the admission test is overwhelming for him, thus Huang assists by taking over on the biking stunts, attacking The Lost MC members and selling drugs. However, after having sex with Meredith, the Angels of Death leader's girlfriend, he learns that the gang was not involved in the Triads' sabotage.
  +
  +
The gang moved to Willis in Dukes, taking over the Yardies' territory and leaving BOABO free of gang crime in 2009. They set up their new hideout at the Willis Community Center.
  +
  +
Events of Grand Theft Auto V
  +
During a random event with either Franklin or Michael, a member of The Lost MC who killed a LSSD deputy tells one of them that the Angels of Death are "finished", claiming they have no more chapters anywhere in the United States.
  +
  +
Events of Grand Theft Auto Online
  +
Although no members of the club or clubhouses are found in Grand Theft Auto Online, the Bikers update allows players to create their own Angels of Death chapter, as one of the clubhouse logos in the game is the Angels of Death emblem. The player is also able to purchase AoD clothing in any clothing store in the game; three Angels of Death T-shirts are purchasable with two reading "Liberty" and one reading "Los Santos".
  +
  +
The wars between the Angels of Death and The Lost MC are mentioned by Malc in GTA Online. He says "their wars" are like the wars in Los Santos (referencing The Families and Ballas rivalry).

The Angels of Death appear to be based on the Hells Angels, particularly from their name, color of choice (red), and date and location of founding (both originated from the west coast of the United States in the late 1940s). According to a special Weazel News report, the Angels of Death claim that they are "just a social club," a claim also made by the Hells Angels. Both the Hells Angels and the Angels of Death have had books written about them by their leaders. The Hells Angels have previously been accused of racial segregation due to the predominantly white membership, an accusation they have denied. The Angels of Death logo appears to be influenced by the Outlaws Motorcycle Club's "Charlie" emblem.
* The name "Angels of Death" may be a cultural reference to the song "Angel of Death" by Thin Lizzy, or to Nazi physician Josef Mengele, whose nickname was "the Angel of Death" for his horrendous torture and medical experiments. Thrash Metal Band Slayer also wrote a song called "Angel of Death" about the aforementioned physician.

* The AOD may be slightly based on the real-life Hells Angels motorcycle club. The Hells Angels are also engaged in a war, similar to the The Lost and Angels of Death war. The club is also nationwide like the Hells Angels.

* The Lost always call Angels of Death members "Deadbeats". In the same way, The Lost members are called "Losers" by the AoD, obviously making fun of the opposite gang names.

* The Angels of Death and the Lost Brotherhood's wars are referenced to the one the Grove Street Families and Ballas have by Malc. He says their wars are like the wars in Los Santos (He also mentiones the Jefferson Motel). It should be noted the Lost and A.O.D. hate each other as much as the after-mentioned gangs do.

* According to a special Weazel News report, the Angels of Death claim that they are just a "social club", a hint to the Hells Angels who claim the exact same thing about themselves; pointing out that the AoD are a parody of the Hells Angels. Both the Hells Angels and the Angels of Death have books written about them by their leaders.

* In GTA IV, attacking an AoD biker can be dangerous, as he will most likely pull out a knife. Also, nearby members will aid in the fight. Shooting one is even more dangerous, as they will shoot back.

* In GTA IV's Multiplayer "Mafiya Work" mode, Kenny Petrovic reveals that the leader of the AoD organisation (Lester Arnold) has a bike which he calls "Sexy Charlie", and then orders it to be destroyed.

* In GTA IV's Deal Breaker, Kenny orders the players to kill many Angels of Death gang members at a multistory factory in Acter Industrial Park.

* In GTA IV, if you were to go to Acter where The Lost gang members hang out, upon closer inspection at a member of The Lost, you can see that he has an Angels of Death tattoo on his right arm.

* The gang's favourite radio stations are Liberty City Hardcore and Liberty Rock Radio 97.8.

* It is implied that The Angels of Death are neo-nazis, as the the website's FAQ has stated that nobody of non-caucasian race has made it into the gang. It is also implied this considering that during missions where you fight them, Johnny can be heard shouting "You racist pricks make me gag!", and "Fucking anti-semites" while fighting the gang. The Angels of Death are seen as White Supremacists, yet during the shootout at their clubhouse, an album by OG Loc can be seen in the jukebox (but this may just be an Easter Egg), as well as other hip-hop artists.

*A particular NPC of the AOD, depicts a large rotund biker. Dubbed the "Fat Biker", is widely regarded as one of the most notable NPC's, alongside the Tramps and Soapboxxers.).

*It's also possible that the AOD are against animals. Inside their clubhouse, there are signs that read, "No Pets allowed", and simply, "No Pets". Or they simply do not want animals messing up stuff.

*In TBoGT AOD members spawn frequently in North Holland, unlike the original game and the first DLC where it is the Afro-American's and Hispanic's gang territory.

* AoD members only appear as pedestrians in TBoGT. They don't appear in any specific missions.

Trivia
  +
*An OG Loc CD can be found next to the jukebox in the Angels of Death Clubhouse. This is somewhat ironic as the Angels of Death are alleged to be a white supremacist gang.
  +
*The obese, bearded Angel of Death biker has a Rockstar Games logo on his belt buckle.
  +
*Given that they are a supposed white supremacist gang, it also seems that the Angels of Death are neo-Confederates; given that the Flags of the Confederate States of America#Battle Flag appears as a significant part of their gang symbolism. The flag appears either as a background for the skull logo, or with a decayed texture and a stylized eagle flying across it. This is most prominent in TLAD.
  +
*Some members of the Angels of Death seem to be veterans of the Vietnam War, as identified by their patches.
  +
*Members of The Lost MC (and Lester Leroc) refer to Angels of Death members as "Deadbeats". In retaliation, Angels of Death members refer to Lost members as "Losers".
  +
*During gang wars in The Lost and Damned, Johnny sometimes yells "Go back to San Fierro" at Angels of Death members, referencing the club's origins in San Fierro.
  +
*If Johnny approaches the arm-wrestling Angels of Death in a vehicle, they will stop arm-wrestling and either run away or attack him with fists or knives.
  +
*Some pedestrians in GTA IV and GTA V can be seen wearing Angels of Death merchandise, like T-shirts, patches, or baseball caps.

The Angels of Death Motorcycle Club (A.O.D.), also known to law enforcement agencies as Angels of Death Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMG)[1], is an outlaw motorcycle club featured in Grand Theft Auto IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, and as the main antagonist gang in The Lost and Damned.

Description

The Angels of Death MC is an outlaw motorcycle club operating in Algonquin, Liberty City where they frequently hang out at their clubhouse located in North Holland. They receive Heroin from the Triads and deal Cocaine with the Spanish Lords. Similar to the relationship between the Albanian Mafia and the Ancelottis, the Angels of Death act as extra muscle for the Triads.

Known members include leader Lester Arnold, road captain Joseph Johnson, lieutenant Albert Lawson and another unnamed lieutenant.

Their favorite radio stations are Liberty City Hardcore, Liberty Rock Radio 97.8 and Anvil.

Appearance

Events

Events of Grand Theft Auto IV

In Grand Theft Auto IV, they are operating around Beechwood City, and can be seen around the Burger Shot and basketball court there. They can also be found in BOABO.

In GTA IV's Multiplayer Mafiya Work mode, Kenny Petrovic reveals that the leader of the AoD organization (Lester Arnold) has a bike which he calls "Sexy Charlie," and then orders it to be destroyed.

Events of The Lost and Damned

In The Lost and Damned, Angels of Death members do not spawn in Beechwood City or BOABO and only spawn around their clubhouse in North Holland. The mission Liberty City Choppers suggests there is a chapter present in Tudor; however, it is not seen outside of this mission. The AoD bikers can also be found at their main supplier Hsin Jaoming's Linen Lounge nightclub in North Holland at certain times.

The Angels of Death play no role in the storyline.

Events of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

In Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Hsin Jaoming lists the Angels of Death as one potential suspect group for the sabotage of the Triads in 2009. He hires Lester Leroc to team up with Huang Lee to investigate.

The gang moved to Willis in Dukes, taking over the Yardies' territory and leaving BOABO free of gang crime in 2009. They set up their new hideout at the Willis Community Center.

Events of Grand Theft Auto V

During a random event with either Franklin or Michael, a member of The Lost MC who killed a LSSD deputy tells one of them that the Angels of Death are "finished", claiming they have no more chapters anywhere in the United States.

Events of Grand Theft Auto Online

Although no members of the club or clubhouses are found in Grand Theft Auto Online, the Bikers update allows players to create their own Angels of Death chapter, as one of the clubhouse logos in the game is the Angels of Death emblem. The player is also able to purchase AoD clothing in any clothing store in the game; three Angels of Death T-shirts are purchasable with two reading "Liberty" and one reading "Los Santos".

The wars between the Angels of Death and The Lost MC are mentioned by Malc in GTA Online. He says "their wars" are like the wars in Los Santos (referencing The Families and Ballas rivalry).

Influence

The Angels of Death appear to be based on the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, particularly from their name, color of choice (red), and date and location of founding (both originated from the west coast of the United States in the late 1940s).

Trivia

 • An OG Loc CD can be found next to the jukebox in the Angels of Death Clubhouse. This is somewhat ironic as the Angels of Death are alleged to be a white supremacist gang.
 • The obese, bearded Angel of Death biker has a Rockstar Games logo on his belt buckle.
 • Given that they are a supposed white supremacist gang, it also seems that the Angels of Death are neo-Confederates; given that the Confederate Battle Flag appears as a significant part of their gang symbolism. The flag appears either as a background for the skull logo, or with a decayed texture and a stylized eagle flying across it. This is most prominent in TLAD.
 • Some members of the Angels of Death seem to be veterans of the Vietnam War, as identified by their patches.
 • Members of The Lost MC (and Lester Leroc) refer to Angels of Death members as "Deadbeats". In retaliation, Angels of Death members refer to Lost members as "Losers".
 • During gang wars in The Lost and Damned, Johnny sometimes yells "Go back to San Fierro" at Angels of Death members, referencing the club's origins in San Fierro.
 • If Johnny approaches the arm-wrestling Angels of Death in a vehicle, they will stop arm-wrestling and either run away or attack him with fists or knives.
 • Some pedestrians in GTA IV and GTA V can be seen wearing Angels of Death merchandise, like T-shirts, patches, or baseball caps.
