The once-peaceful Rastafarian community has become a haven for Yardie criminals who found the going a little too hot in Kingston, and their clashes with the Colombian drug lords have given western Vice City an unenviable reputation.

The Brotherhood of Jah Army of Love, also known as the the Brethren, is a gang in Grand Theft Auto that is based in Vice City. The gang is often referred to as the Rastas during the chapter "Bent Cop Blues" and appear as the bosses of the last chapter "Rasta Blasta".

Description[]

The leader of the gang is Brother Marcus. The gang controls the drugs trade in Vice City and is known to use extreme violence, including Brother Leroy acting as a suicide bomber during one mission.

Events of Grand Theft Auto[]

In 1997, the gang is at war with many United States Government Authorities, to which they colloquially refer as the "Babylon", and corrupt VCPD police officer Samuel Deever, the leader of the Vice Squad branch. The majority of missions from Samuel Deever include mass murdering the Jamaicans and breaking up many deals between them and many of their allies. After the player gets orders from Samuel Deever to meet with them and to get report about what they want, Brother Marcus tries to convince the player to work for them. The GTA Protagonist can then choose to work with them and betray Deever for good, or follow Samuel's orders, who tells the protagonist to destroy a Limousine filled with drugs from Cuba. If the player does so, Marcus will tell the protagonist that he accidentally killed Deever's wife (although it is unknown if it's true) and tells him to work for him. The protagonist agrees and continues to work for the Rastas over to the end of the game. They tend to call their enemies as "baldheads".
