We are working as a team to create a repository of quizzes on GTA Wiki pertaining to all GTA games. To see the current quizzes in progress, see the links on this category's main page.

To help, simply create your own sandbox and start making quizzes, then categorize each page you create here. To leave comments or suggestions on individual sandboxes, please add your messages to the appropriate talk page. Difficulty Level

What does everyone think of establishing a difficulty scale? I've been trying to incorporate it into my quizzes, but am feeling as though it's a little too subjective. Maybe we can use a point scale of some sort? Thoughts? EganioTalk 08:50, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

What exactly do you mean by a point scale? Would it be a different version of a difficulty level. At the same time, I realise you said of some kind, indicating that you don't exactly know yourself, so I will have a think about it. Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 08:53, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
LOL, yeah, I really don't quite know. I was just using arbitrary designations like easy-medium, medium-hard, difficult, and insane! I was just thinking we may want to quantify it a little more precisely...or is that going too far? EganioTalk 08:56, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Right, well I have found the difficulty level of yours to be a little bit confusing, the real question is can we make a system that we would actually be able to easily fit questions into? What is a hard question to me could be an easy one to you. How many levels were you thinking, and how will we rate questions into these levels? Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 08:59, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Heh, yes admittedly my difficulty level system is vague, at best! I was just toying around with it, really. One of the things I was thinking was to delineate difficulty level by player experience. This may be hard to do, but perhaps we can separate quizzes based on the level of game expertise a player may have.
For instance, the "insane" level (you can tell I was just toying around) is intended for people who have played, beaten, and scoured the game for tidbits here and there, and would know intricate details. On the other hand, the easy-medium level is intended for players with a little experience with the game, that have beaten it perhaps just once, or are on their way to doing so. It's really rough at this point, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm more than willing to completely re-think the whole system, believe me! :-) EganioTalk 09:38, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Now it makes more sense what you were thinking. I will think about possibilities and tell you, but if I can't think of any, yours sounds good, we just need to think about that while we make the questions (well you have been, but me) it! Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 09:45, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, how about we keep your system (at least for now) but include sub-categories. For example, I am the kind of person who learns the storylines of games inside out, and while I know my way around the cities, I am hopless at specific building names. So for me an easy level is storylines but a hard level is landmarks (or something alike). We still keep the sub-categories in difficulty levels though, depending on if for example the question is asking about the reason Niko came to America (easy if you've played it) or what happens in the mission A Dish Served Cold (hope you remember, but not you Eganio, you havn't played it, I mean hope you, the quiz player, remember) Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 10:14, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Hmmmm, subcategories is a good idea. You make a good point that different players have different play "modes", if you will, and are likely to concentrate on different aspects of the game. How about separating by quiz type, then difficulty level within each type, e.g. quizzes on gameplay, under which there would be increasing levels of difficulty, then quizzes on map detail, with the requisite difficulty levels, etc. Thoughts? EganioTalk 22:23, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I was going to mention "or vice verser" before. Do you agree Aussiebushmatt? Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 06:04, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
I agree. It's the same for me, the storyline is easy but the landmarks etc. are more difficult questions. I also think we should go with the subcategories, like Eganio has said --Aussiebushmatt 13:43, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Format

Now that I think that we all agree on the subcategories, how do you think we should go about formatting them into those levels and categories? Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 08:00, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

OK, what I meant by the above question was, what are the subcategories that we are going to use? Later we can expand on them, but what crucial ones are we going to start with? Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 06:14, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
I have turned my very full sandbox into 4 sandboxes with the same type of difficulty level as Eganio, and I have my original as the real sandbox, where the raw questions go before being rated, it aslo links to the others. When we establish a category system, obviously I will have to redo it, but at least for now, they are half way there, are at the same point as Eganio, and are distributed much more neatly.
