This is a list of Characters in the Grand Theft Auto series, listed S-T, and lists characters by surname. When surnames are not available, first names are used and then nicknames. To find characters whose names are known but are better known by nicknames (such as Melvin Harris, known better as Big Smoke), you can use the Find function. To access this, press the Control (Ctrl) and F keyboard buttons at the same time.

Some characters listed appear in other Rockstar Games titles, such as Manhunt, but are listed here as they are in so way related to the Grand Theft Auto series. Sam Sam is, in 2001, a child resident of Cedar Grove, Shoreside Vale, Liberty City and the son of Jane. He owns or has owned a dog named Hugo, who was hit by a car. He is known to have once taken a home made banana cannon into school. Appears in: III

Yonsi Zoo San Yonsi Zoo San (born August 30, 1935 in Tokyo, Japan) is an elderly member of the Yakuza. He is in a vegetative state and is barely kept alive on Zaibatsu drugs. He has an extensive criminal record and was married, until his wife died in 1995. Appears in: 2
Boy Sanchez Boy Sanchez is the Hispanic DJ of Rise FM in 1998. Voiced by: Oliver Vaquer.

Sara is, in 2008, a resident of Liberty City who has Niko Bellic help her. She first has Niko accompany her to a meeting with her ex-husband, who becomes enraged after Sara informs him she had slept with Niko, and later has Niko collect a package for her from Perseus. Voiced by: Deborah Yates.

Gordon Sargent is an associate of the Irish Mob who, along with Niko Bellic, Patrick McReary and Michael Keane, robs the Ancelotti Family Waste Management Office. Sargent later helps with the 'storage' of Gracie Ancelotti, after she is kidnapped by Niko. Voiced by: David Conley.

Gary Schaffer Gary Schaffer is the chief of police for the Carcer City Police Department. He is put on trial after a snuff film ring, involving Schaffer, was discovered. In 2001 he was cleared on charges of corruption due to the disappearance of many witnesses. Appears in: M and III

BJ Smith is a retired American football player for the Vice City Mambas who owned Sunshine Autos until 1986, selling the business to Tommy Vercetti. He also owns BJ Smith's Used Autos and released a fitness video, called BJ's Fit for Football. He announces on K-Chat that he intends on returning to American Football. Voiced by: Lawrence Taylor.

Lenny Smith Lenny Smith is a criminal based in London who has links with Albert and Archie Crisp, who, after losing patience with him, have the protagonist kill him. He is the brother of Reg Smith. Appears in: L 1969 and L 1961
Reg Smith Reg Smith is the brother of Lenny Smith who is killed by the protagonist whilst looking for his brother. Appears in: L 1969 and L 1961
Tommy Smith Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith is the host of K-DST in 1992 and a former member of the band Crystal Ship. Voiced by: Axl Rose.

Sonetti Sonetti is a resident of Liberty City who runs his own gang, which are attacked on various occasions by the protagonist. The protagonist later blows up a building that Sonetti is believed to be in, although it is unknown whether Sonetti is killed. Appears in: 1
The Specialist The Specialist is, in 1984, a member of the VCPD SWAT team and resides in Vice City. Appears in: VCS

Claude Speed
Claude Speed is the protagonist of GTA 2. He was parolled in 2013 and began working for various criminals in Anywhere City. He is seemingly killed by Zaibatsu hitmen, although his fate is unknown. He may be Claude from GTA III and GTA San Andreas. Scott Maslen played Claude Speed in the live action promotional movie for GTA 2. Played by: Scott Maslen.

Tess Tickle Tess Tickle is a female beachgoer who, in 1984, resides in Vice City. Appears in: VCS
Tim Tim is a fictional character from Evacuator and Exploder: Evacuator Part II, films also starring Jack Howitzer and Ho Chi. Appears in: VC
