The Cholo Sabre is a two-door muscle car and a gang car in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
The car is a variant of the Sabre Turbo, which is a variant of the Sabre, serving as the gang car of the Cholos gang and is distinguished by its wire rims, a permanent yellow body color and a white stripe, similar to the Sabre Turbo, and lower ground clearance.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
Overall, the performance of the Cholo Sabre is worse in comparison to its civilian counterpart, the Sabre Turbo. It has a lower top speed and features fewer gears (4 instead of 5). The car also has a smaller turning radius. At low speeds, this can help when it comes to performing donuts. However, at higher speeds, the smaller turning radius can lead to the car spinning out of control when cornering.

Locations[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
- The Cholo Sabre can frequently be found in Little Haiti, Vice City prior to the mission Havana Good Time, in which the Cholos were severely weakened. After this mission, the Cholo Sabre can still be found in the same district, albeit more rarely.
- Early in the game, the Cholo Sabre sometimes appears in Little Havana, but this situation is rare. When this happens, nearby Cuban gang members will chase the car and open fire on it since they are arch-enemies with the Cholos since the beginning of the game.
- Also early in the game, before Havana Good Time, the Cholo Sabre can be found parked in front of empire building sites owned by the Cholos. However, in this case, it is always locked, so in order to be able to drive it, one would be required to push it to a garage and have it saved there so as to unlock it.
Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
- Vance Crime Family members will open fire on the vehicle if they see it and force the Cholos out of the car. Both types of the gang will shoot at a Cholo Sabre if it passes near them.
- All of the Cholo Sabres parked outside a Cholo business site are locked, even if the player recruits a gang member and tries to get in, it will still be locked; however, it is possible for the gang member to enter the vehicle. The same situation also applies to the Gang Rancher.
- Despite the car always having the same paintjob, by the use of the EC Black Conversion trick featured in the In the Air Tonight mission, it can be turned into a fully black Cholo Sabre. Something similar can be done with the Cuban Hermes.
