Collectibles are items in the Grand Theft Auto games that are required to be collected in order to achieve 100% completion of the game, but are not components of the main storyline. Rewards are offered for collecting certain numbers of each collectible, and each individual collectible gives a small cash reward once picked up.

Types

Appearances Brief description
Special Tokens GTA 2 Collecting all 50 Tokens in each district (25 in the PlayStation version) will unlock a Bonus Stage.

GTA V
Special rewards are offered for finding every ten packages, and for finding all 100. The packages take on different appearances in each game. In GTA V, they appear as briefcases that award the player with a various amount of money when collected, ranging from $7,000 to $25,000 each.
Tags GTA San Andreas Tags are only found in the city of Los Santos. Each Tag must be sprayed over completely in order to be considered collected. Spraying over all Tags will reward the player.
Snapshots GTA San Andreas Snapshots are only found in San Fierro. They must be photographed using the Camera. These scenes are marked by a small rotating camera icon, which is only seen when viewed through the camera, otherwise they can only be noticed at night (the player will see a strong pinkish light with no apparent source). Rewards are given to the player for taking all Snapshots.
Horseshoes GTA San Andreas Horseshoes are only found in Las Venturas. They are small collectibles and act as a normal pickup. The player gets rewarded for collecting them all.
Oysters GTA San Andreas Oysters are always underwater, and most require the player to dive in order to collect them. Unlike the other collectibles in GTA San Andreas, these can be found dotted across the state. Acquisitions of all Oysters will reward the player.
Red Balloons GTA Vice City Stories Red Balloons are similar to the Hidden Packages from the other GTA games, but balloons require to be burst through gunshots, melee attacks, or explosions to be collected. There are 99 red balloons and each tenth gives the player a reward.
Flying Rats/Seagulls GTA IV
The Lost and Damned
The Ballad of Gay Tony
Flying Rats (pigeons) and Seagulls are similar to the Red Balloons in GTA Vice City Stories in that they need to be shot to count as collected. There are 200 Flying Rats in GTA IV and 50 Seagulls in both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. The player gets a vehicle as a reward for shooting them all.
Security Cameras GTA Chinatown Wars Security Cameras need to be destroyed to count as collected. Rewards are given to the player if all 100 Security Cameras are destroyed.
Letter Scraps GTA V Collecting all 50 scraps will unlock a Strangers and Freaks mission.
Spaceship Parts GTA V A Strangers and Freaks mission has to be completed before the parts will appear. Collecting all 50 parts will unlock another Strangers and Freaks mission.
Submarine Parts GTA V A Strangers and Freaks mission has to be completed before the parts will appear. Collecting all 50 parts will unlock another Strangers and Freaks mission.
Nuclear Waste GTA V The player must purchase the Sonar Collections Dock before the waste will appear. Each barrel collected will give the player a monetary reward, with a bonus $250,000 given for collecting all 30.

Rampages are a type of violent side-missions. In these objectives, the main character has to do a certain number of kills with a set weapon within a set time. They show up as skulls. The player will be rewarded with money for each Rampage.

Stunt Jumps are high-speed, long-distance stunts the player must perform in a ground vehicle. Each jump has distinct start and ends, each of which must be hit in order for the jump to be considered complete. In GTA Chinatown Wars, the vehicle will always go through a billboard in Stunt Jumps. In some games, money is given to the player for a successful attempt.

  • Tokens: There are 50 Tokens in each district of Anywhere City.
  • Kill Frenzies: There are 20 Kill Frenzies in each district.

3D Universe

  • Hidden Packages: There are 100 Hidden Packages that show up as white bundles in Liberty City.
  • Rampages: There are 20 Rampages in Liberty City.
  • Unique Jumps: There are 20 Unique Jumps over Liberty City.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

  • Hidden Packages: There are 100 Hidden Packages that show up as green "tiki statues" in Vice City.
  • Rampages: There are 35 Rampages in Vice City.
  • Unique Jumps: There are 36 Unique Jumps over Vice City.

Grand Theft Auto Advance

  • Hidden Packages: There are 100 Packages that show up as white bundles in Liberty City.
  • Rampages: There are 21 Rampages in Liberty City.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories

  • Hidden Packages: There are 100 hidden packages that show up as gold hands with the sign of the horns gesture in Liberty City. Some only become accessible after completing certain missions.
  • Rampages: There are 20 Rampages in Liberty City.
  • Unique Stunt Jumps: There are 26 Unique Stunt Jumps over Liberty City.

  • Pigeons: There are 200 Pigeons in Liberty City.
  • Stunt Jumps: There are 50 Stunt Jumps over Liberty City.

Grand Theft Auto: The Lost And Damned

  • Seagulls: There are 50 Seagulls in Liberty City.

Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony

  • Seagulls: There are 50 Seagulls in Liberty City.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

  • Security Cameras: There are 100 Security Cameras in Liberty City.
  • Rampages: There are 30 Rampages in Liberty City.
  • Riding Shotgun: There are 5 Riding Shotgun in Liberty City.
  • Unique Jumps: There are 30 Unique Jumps over Liberty City.

Note: Unlike previous games, some of these collectible sets need to be unlocked by completing certain missions before they begin to appear.

  • Lions of Fo: There are 2 Lions of Fo out of 20 possible locations over Liberty City.

Grand Theft Auto V

  • Monkey Mosaics: There are 50 Monkey Mosaics. (Mission completion required)
  • Peyote Plants: There are 27 Peyote Plants.
  • Wildlife Photographs: There are 20 animal and bird species to photograph (Mission completion required, only available for returning players).

Grand Theft Auto Online

One Time Collections

  • Stunt Jumps: There are 50 Stunt Jumps over Los Santos and Blaine County.
  • Playing Cards: There are 54 playing cards. (Collecting them all will reward the player with chips, RP, a unique High Roller Outfit, and an exclusive reward for Red Dead Online).
  • Action Figures: There are 100 action figures. (Collecting them all will reward the player a new hairstyle, an Impotent Rage outfit and GTA $50k).
  • Peyote Plants: (Seasonal only) There are 76 Peyote Plants.
  • Signal Jammers: There are 50 signal jammers to destroy. (Destroying them all will reward the player with GTA $50k, RP and unlocking Avi Schwartzman as a support heist crew.)
  • Movie Props: There are 10 Movie Props to collect for Solomon Richards.
  • Media Sticks: There are 9 Media Sticks to collect. Collecting them will reward the player with tracks for the Media Player.
  • Weapon Components: There are 5 Weapon Components available at Crime Scenes. Collecting 5 rewards the player with the Service Carbine. Upgrades for the weapon are unlocked at Ammu-Nation and the Agency Armory.
  • LD Organics Product: 100 LD Organics Products can be collected around Southern San Andreas. Collecting all 100 rewards the player with a LD Organics branded tee and cap.
