A god game, the player can choose to play the game as a benevolent god or a malevolent god, similar to the real-life game Black & White, developed by Peter Molyneux, who is well known for his work in the god game genre. However, Deity is more likely a parody of The Sims series, which is developed by Will Wright, who is also well known for simulation games.
