Dundreary is an automotive company in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto, based on Lincoln and the defunct Mercury.

Overview

The logo is reminiscent of both the Lincoln and Subaru logos. The name most likely comes from Lord Dundreary, a character from the 1858 British play "Our American Cousin", which was the play President Abraham Lincoln was watching when he was assassinated, and as such, the name may be a reference to Lincoln Motors. The name could also refer to the Scottish city of Dundee, where Rockstar North (as DMA Design) was founded. Although apparently based on Mercury, Dundreary cars are mainly based on other vehicles which share platforms with Lincoln vehicles, with the exception of the Regina.
