Hey, I wanted the opinion of both staff members and good intentioned users in this wiki, I was talking to Leon Davis yesterday about videos, my opinion is that we should be a bit strict when it comes to videos in this wiki, my suggestions of video policy are:
- We can't have videos with voice comments ("what's up guys, it's mr. mule here bla bla bla")
- Videos can't have random music, unless the music fits very well (like Jaws' theme on the shark knife fight video)
- Videos can only be recorded directly from the PC or Console. Cell phone recorded videos can't be added.
- Videos should be directly related to the article, like the Shark Knife fight, the videos of how to obtain the Lazer, Titan and Prison Bus, videos of minigames (Darts, Golf, Pool, Yoga (for real?)
This came up on my mind when I saw cell phone recorded videos on the red dead wiki and videos with random music on my Scarface wiki, I need your opinion about this. (talk/stalk/blog) 15:14, February 28, 2015 (UTC)

That sounds about right, can't seek fault in that :) (talk) | (stalk) 15:41, February 28, 2015 (UTC)
First of all, we could simply merge the videos guidelines with the Image Policy (and eventually rename it File Policy, that sounds better).
I don't think we need to be particularly strict regarding videos. My points:
- Commentary is banned. Background music too, even if it fits.
- Videos containing like/subscribe requests are to be banned - they should be considered as pure advertising. GTASeriesVideos have plenty of proper videos on GTA, and since we use their videos for the mission walkthroughs, we can use more from them.
- Regarding the "Videos should be directly related to the article" point, I think we can simply assume it's obvious enough not to be integrated into our guidelines. I'm sure no one will upload a P-996 Lazer video in the Bus page.
- "Videos can only be recorded directly from the PC or Console. Cell phone recorded videos can't be added." - Agree with this.
