GTA Wiki:Requests for Promotion

Welcome to GTA Wiki:Requests for Promotion.

You may apply for Rollback Rights or Administrator privileges on this noticeboard. To do so, you must meet the prerequisites, and then state what position you are looking for and why you think you need the rollback and/or administrator tools.

At this time the community has not decided how to handle Bureaucratship, and there is no method of requesting a promotion to Bureaucrat. Requests for Oversight and Checkuser must be done at Wikia Central (and they'll probably be declined).

Rollback is a tool that allows users to quickly revert vandalism.

Administrators have the power to block and ban users, protect pages, move images, and delete pages and images, in addition to rollback.

To qualify for rollback rights, editors must have been active for two months with no rules violations. Rollbackers must receive a 60% 'yes' percentage to be promoted.

To qualify for administrator rights, editors must have been active for four months with no rules violations. Administrators must receive a 70% 'yes' percentage to be promoted.

Editors with rollback and administrator experience on other wikis are encouraged to apply, and based on the editor in question exceptions may be made to the length of time editing required for promotion.

When applying for promotion, a community vote will take place. Voting lasts 7 days, although it may be allowed to run shorter (in the case of an obvious pass/fail) or longer (in the case of a very close vote) at sysop discretion.

Wonderwaffle - Patroller

My username is WonderWaffle, I am requesting for this promotion becuase ive been playing gta since 2002, i know alot about The Series, and the Decline In staff [The Tom and BunnyJoke Resigned] and ive been editing alot, but i dont have much time because im caught up with school and stuff. Im hoping you will see this through and accept me into the GTA Wiki Staff.

I would like to apply as a patroller because a lot of people have suggested that I enlist after all the edits I made which I agree with them on that factor. I have been a big GTA player and fan for a while now and I want to help keep this wiki safe and clean. Winter Moon - Patroller

My (user)name is Winter Moon, and I would like to become a patroller on the GTA wiki. I have been editing a lot this summer, and I would like to be able to protect pages from vandals or spammers, as well as helping new users of the site. I haven't been playing GTA for very long, and thus far I have only IV, but I hope to get VC and SA at some point to gain a bit more knowledge about the series.

Ilan xd - Patroller

Hi, I am Ilan xd and I want to become a patroller in the Wiki. The main reason why I want to be a Patroller is to protect pages from vandals and other users who want to write incorrect information. I already informed about severel Users that vandalize, but I want to be an official Patroller. I don't know what should I write other than that...

I play GTA since I was 6, so I know alot about the series.

I want to become a patroller because i saw many false things such as like Forelli Exsess can be obtained in firefighter missions and other so can i become a patroller. Two reasons there are:
1. Promotion

• I don't think you've really proven yourself on this wiki, you don't seem to be a very experienced user. If you see something on the wiki that is incorrect you can change it, you don't have to be staff to change it everyone can. I'm glad you hate vandalism but it takes more than that to be a Patroller, just keep editing and helping out and maybe request a promotion again in a couple of months or so. Also after just checking your edits it seems like you don't quite understand what vandalism is, the edit that you reverted on the Misty page is not vandalism. Tom ^Talk 15:39, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
