Welcome to GTA Wiki:Requests for Promotion.

You may apply for Rollback Rights or Administrator privileges on this noticeboard. To do so, you must meet the fucking prerequisites, and then state what position you are looking for and why you think you need the rollback and/or administrator tools you motherfucker.

Requests for Oversight and Checkuser must be done at Fuck You Central (and they'll probably be declined).

Rollback is a tool that allows users to quickly revert vandalism.

Administrators have the power to block and ban users, protect pages, move images, and delete pages and images, 7 days, although it may be allowed to run shorter (in the case of an obvious pass/fail) or longer (in the case of a very close vote) at sysop discretion.

Hi i have been here longer so i seen that there aren't any admins, mods or patrollers or anything like that so i request for a promotion. Oh and that i have seen few vandals but i reverted page back.--R0las ^{go and talk or DIE}

• You've been here since June ("so i seen"), whilst for example User:Dan the Man 1983 has been editing here since 2008, and me since 2006, so that isn't really a good argument for why you should be promoted. Hi, it's Ilan. I'm asking a request for admin. I editing here for a while, expanding articles and watching after pages. I want to be an admin here 'cause now most admin are not active and severel others are no more admins, and I think that I was proving myself as a friend of this wiki and a helpful user. • We've promoted underqualified users to administrator positions based on "no bad contributions", but if Crescendospectredragon and Bunnyjoke have taught us anything it's that decent edits don't automatically make a good administrator.   • Question: A user has made about 20 good edits. His 21st edit is incorrect and someone undoes it. He goes to the user's talk page and flames him by calling him a "stupid prick". As an administrator what would you do?
• The English in your application above is not very good ("severel", "I editing here"), so I'm not sure you would be able to carry out the role effectively. Perhaps English is not your first language, which is no bad thing, but I think an English wiki needs fluent staff to be able to understand everything, and judge and rewrite the work of others. Also, your profile says "I have a very short fuse so I getting anger very fast" which is not how an Administrator should be. Gboyers ^talk 12:03, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

My username is WonderWaffle, I am requesting for this promotion becuase ive been playing gta since 2002, i know alot about The Series, and the Decline In staff [The Tom and BunnyJoke Resigned] and ive been editing alot, but i dont have much time because im caught up with school and stuff. Im hoping you will see this through and accept me into the GTA Wiki Staff.

• At least one wiki I edit specifies users must have 700 edits before they ask for rollback. I initially didn't like that policy, but with the number of editors requesting promotion almost immediately I'm thinking we might ought to put some sort of rule similar to that one in place. Also if it wasn't clear I agree with the "you're doing a fine job but you haven't been active long enough to be promoted" stance the others have taken. • Your application above doesn't say anything about why you should be staff. A lot of people know a lot about GTA games, but not everyone is suitable to be staff. Do you understand what is involved? Gboyers ^talk 11:54, September 10, 2011 (UTC)
