Max Paint (or Max Paynt as seen in the game) is the GTA 2 equivalent of Pay n Spray in all the other games. This is a clear reference to Max Payne the movie. The only one major difference about the shop is that the police can see you go into the shop and if you successfully change the color of your vehicle, the police will stop chasing you immediately with no prohibitionary period. Public service vehicles and gang cars cannot be resprayed although buses are exempted from this rule (not the [[Karma Bus]]). Also taxi's can't be resprayed they can have the plates changed.
