So the next time someone asks you why you keep buying that same bucket-ass car, you'll be able to fire back with more than just a one-liner.|Southern San Andreas Super Autos description.}} |
||
+ | The Greenwood is a four-door sedan available in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Criminal Enterprises update. It is manufactured by Bravado in the HD Universe. |

− | === |
+ | ===3D Universe=== |
+ | The Greenwood in the 3D Universe bears a strong resemblance to a Chrysler Fifth Avenue#1982–1989: The M-body years. The grille, vinyl roof, and headlights are closer to the Fifth Avenue, but the headlights have been moved above the turn signals, resembling a Dodge Diplomat/Plymouth Gran Fury. The rear also resembles the Diplomat/Chrysler LeBaron#First generation (1977–1981). |
||
− | The Greenwood is designed as a boxy American 4-door sedan with a landau, originally fitting during its appearances in GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories, but beginning to show its age during GTA San Andreas' timeline, when newer cars have appeared. In GTA Vice City Stories, the car's body color is usually restricted to a light blue-gray body with a white landau. |
||
+ | ===Grand Theft Auto Online=== |

− | The Greenwood bears a strong resemblance to a Chrysler Fifth Avenue. The grille, vinyl roof and headlights are closer to the Fifth Avenue but the headlights have been moved above the turning signals. The year range would be around 1982-1985 due no CHMSL. It is most likely a Schyster car. |
||
+ | The Greenwood returns in Grand Theft Auto Online, manufactured by Bravado, now based on the Dodge Monaco#Fourth generation (1977–1978) and its "corporate twin", the Plymouth Fury#Seventh generation (1975–1978). The grille, turn signals, and placement of the Bravado badge seem to be derived from the File:1975 Plymouth Fury (8703624798).jpg, while retaining split design, while the rear is derived from the Plymouth Fury#Fifth generation (1969–1973), but featuring the rear bumper and the tail lights inspired by the ones found on the Chrysler New Yorker#1969–1973. The front bumper appears to be taken from the Chevrolet Monte Carlo#Second generation (1973–1977). |

||
+ | |||
+ | The Greenwood is designed as a boxy 4-door sedan with traditional features, where the front end bears a large gray/silver bumper with black trim, a tall grille with vertical elements and gray/silver housings with dual headlights on the upper side and dual indicators on the lower side, along with a traditional hood with an elevation in the center, where the grille is located. The sides of the car have gray/silver trim at the bottom and on the flared wheel arches, traditional door handles and a squared-off greenhouse area with a Vinyl roof on the back section. The rear is relatively simple and bears a small emblem in the center and wide tail lights on either side, while the lower area bears a similar gray/silver bumper with black trim, a license plate in the center and small plate light casings beside it. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The Greenwood in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories has the grille marked up to the hood and has a pointed shape to the front, as well as a straight front bumper with a similar pointed shape on the front. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, however, the grille has been shifted down the front fascia and is more flattened, with the pointed shape shifting from the front of the grille to its upper border. The front bumper becomes slightly curved lower towards the middle to adapt to this redesign. On the rear door, there is an extra pillar that separates the bodywork from the landau on both sides of the car, forming an "Opera window" (a much smaller window placed on the rear door, next to the main window). Similar to many cars, a fuel cap is added to the rear left fender. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The vehicle will spawn in multiple primary colors for the bodywork and secondary colors for the landau, but in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, the car's body color is usually restricted to a light blue-gray body with a white landau. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ===Grand Theft Auto Online=== |
||
+ | |||
+ | The vehicle retains the traditional boxy design from previous renditions, where the front area features a silver/chrome bumper with a narrow mesh vent in the center and black trim above with yellowish/brownish borders. The upper area is predominated by a split grille with numerous dividers and rectangular turn signals on the outer edges, as well as square headlights beside the grille, where the upper ones are the main units and the lower ones the high-beam units. The hood area bears silver "BRAVADO" lettering on the driver side and a protruding detail passing through the hood lid, towards the windshield, along with a radio antenna on the passenger side. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The sides of the car have silver/chrome trim at the bottom and additional black trim above the wheel arches that pass through the sides, as well as traditional door handles and square mirrors on the front doors. The cabin is relatively simple and bears silver/chrome trim around the windows, while the trunk lid bears a similar protruding detail in the center. |
||
+ | |||
+ | On the rear, the trunk lid bears the silver "BRAVADO" lettering on the passenger side and black trim at the bottom, while the bumper area bears wide tail lights with a meshed detail in front, each one consisting of dual main units, middle brake units and outer reverse units. The rest of the bumper has protruding edges and a dedicated section in the center for the license plate, while the exhaust can be seen below, on the passenger side. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The interior of the car is similar to the Tulip, itself being a derivative of the "Dominator" interior used in the Dominator, the Buccaneer and the Manana, with the dial set also derived from the aforementioned cars. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The primary color is applied to most of the bodywork, while the secondary color is applied to the interior stitching. A trim color is also available, which is only applied to the "Trim Color Vinyl Roof" option. It uses unique black rims with circular holes around and silver/chrome centercaps, fitted with medium-profile tires with a whitewall detail. |

+ | ==Performance== |
||
+ | ===3D Universe=== |
||
+ | Though the speed and acceleration are less than ideal, the handling is improved over comparable vehicles found in the same areas, and the braking is pretty good. The front-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle is heavy and relatively sturdy, capable of withstanding a good deal of damage and making it a relatively solid choice for drive-bys and primary transport. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The vehicle holds a V4 engine model (apparent by the cam textures and sparkplug inlets). In GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories, it uses a relatively loud engine sound shared with the Oceanic-based Bloodring Banger and the FBI Rancher, while in GTA San Andreas, it uses a mid-revving sound shared with the Perennial and the Regina. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The performance of the Greenwood is enhanced in GTA Vice City Stories. The vehicle now features a higher top speed and a five-speed gearbox (instead of the typical four-speed gearbox that was the case beforehand). Its stats are shared with the Glendale. |

||
+ | |||
+ | ===Grand Theft Auto Online=== |
||
+ | ====Vehicle==== |
||
+ | The Greenwood is powered by a V8 engine with a circular air filter on top, mated to a 3-speed gearbox and powering the rear wheels. It shares the engine sound with cars such as the Tulip, the Gauntlet Classic and the Imperator. |
||
+ | |||
+ | The Greenwood features improved performance over its 3D Universe counterpart, having good speed and acceleration. In addition, it possesses smooth handling and is quite durable against collisions. It even performs wheelies without its back-end hitting the ground too much, helping its acceleration further for faster take-off. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ====Features==== |
||
+ | The Greenwood, along with the Omnis e-GT and selected vehicles from The Contract update, can be modified with a Remote Control Unit, which allows for the ability to drive the vehicle remotely, similar to the RC Bandito and the Invade and Persuade Tank. Note that this feature cannot be kept if the Missile Lock-on Jammer is installed, and that the camera is always set to first-person view. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ====Armor/Defense==== |
||
+ | When the Armor Plating upgrade is equipped, the vehicle is given traditional armor plating on the sides in a similar manner to the armor padding of the Omnis e-GT, selected vehicles of The Contract update and the armored vehicles featured in the Executives and Other Criminals update. However, it gives a higher resistance to explosives in general. Unlike the vehicles from The Contract update, it lacks bulletproof windows, but it does not appear with a unique radar blip (features also present on the Omnis e-GT). |
||
+ | |||
+ | The Greenwood, along with the Omnis e-GT and selected vehicles from The Contract update, can be modified with a Missile Lock-on Jammer, which prevents the lock-on system of the Homing Launcher and other weaponized vehicles to target onto it. Note that it cannot be kept if the Remote Control Unit is installed. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ====Weapons==== |
||
+ | The vehicle has the option to install Slick Proximity Mines (green flashing light), which burst a large amount of oil on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to lose control. This deals no damage to either vehicles or players. |

The Greenwood is powered by a V8 engine. |

||
+ | *Sweet's Greenwood plays either Bounce FM or CSR 103.9 by default when entered during his missions. Outside of the missions, it behaves like a normal Greenwood, playing Radio Los Santos. |
||
+ | *In the beta version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Greenwood's design was like in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. |
||
+ | *Carl Johnson seems to dislike this car because in the mission End of the Line he says to Sweet "I can't believe you bought the same bucket ass car." |
||
+ | *The Greenwood still spawns in front of Sweet's house even though it has already been destroyed after the mission Reuniting the Families. The new Greenwood has the same registration as the previous one, and can be found outside Sweet's house as early as The Green Sabre. |
||
+ | **It could be possible that Sweet immediately bought the same Greenwood sometime later following the events of Reuniting the Families. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ===Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories=== |
||
+ | *The color of the car cannot be changed at a Pay 'n' Spray. This is because the Greenwood is set to spawn in a single color scheme (71,73), a color scheme that is actually reminiscent of Sweet's Greenwood from GTA San Andreas. |
||
+ | |||
+ | ===Grand Theft Auto Online=== |
||
+ | *Game files suggest there was going to be an emergency variant of the Greenwood, the variable name
POLGREENWOOD
, likely a law enforcement or police-modified vehicle, but was later cut from the game. |
||
+ | *The Southern San Andreas Super Autos description of the Greenwood describes the vehicle as a "bucket-ass car", referencing CJ's comments on Sweet's Greenwood during the End of the Line mission in GTA San Andreas. |

The Greenwood is a four-door sedan available in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Criminal Enterprises update. It is manufactured by Bravado in the HD Universe.
Influence
3D Universe
The Greenwood in the 3D Universe bears a strong resemblance to a 1982–1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. The grille, vinyl roof, and headlights are closer to the Fifth Avenue, but the headlights have been moved above the turn signals, resembling a Dodge Diplomat/Plymouth Gran Fury. The rear also resembles the Diplomat/Chrysler LeBaron.
Grand Theft Auto Online
The Greenwood returns in Grand Theft Auto Online, manufactured by Bravado, now based on the 1977–1978 Dodge Monaco and its "corporate twin", the Plymouth Fury. The grille, turn signals, and placement of the Bravado badge seem to be derived from the 1975–1976 Fury, while retaining split design, while the rear is derived from the 1969–1973 Fury models, but featuring the rear bumper and the tail lights inspired by the ones found on the 1969–1971 Chrysler New Yorker. The front bumper appears to be taken from the 1977 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
Design
3D Universe
- CJ: "I can't believe that you bought the same bucket-ass car man!"
- Sweet: "Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
- ―CJ and Sweet, during End of the Line.
The Greenwood is designed as a boxy 4-door sedan with traditional features, where the front end bears a large gray/silver bumper with black trim, a tall grille with vertical elements and gray/silver housings with dual headlights on the upper side and dual indicators on the lower side, along with a traditional hood with an elevation in the center, where the grille is located. The sides of the car have gray/silver trim at the bottom and on the flared wheel arches, traditional door handles and a squared-off greenhouse area with a landau on the back section. The rear is relatively simple and bears a small emblem in the center and wide tail lights on either side, while the lower area bears a similar gray/silver bumper with black trim, a license plate in the center and small plate light casings beside it.
The Greenwood in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories has the grille marked up to the hood and has a pointed shape to the front, as well as a straight front bumper with a similar pointed shape on the front.
The vehicle will spawn in multiple primary colors for the bodywork and secondary colors for the landau, but in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, the car's body color is usually restricted to a light blue-gray body with a white landau.
Grand Theft Auto Online
The vehicle retains the traditional boxy design from previous renditions, where the front area features a silver/chrome bumper with a narrow mesh vent in the center and black trim above with yellowish/brownish borders.
The sides of the car have silver/chrome trim at the bottom and additional black trim above the wheel arches that pass through the sides, as well as traditional door handles and square mirrors on the front doors. The cabin is relatively simple and bears silver/chrome trim around the windows, while the trunk lid bears a similar protruding detail in the center.
On the rear, the trunk lid bears the silver "BRAVADO" lettering on the passenger side and black trim at the bottom, while the bumper area bears wide tail lights with a meshed detail in front, each one consisting of dual main units, middle brake units and outer reverse units. The rest of the bumper has protruding edges and a dedicated section in the center for the license plate, while the exhaust can be seen below, on the passenger side.
The interior of the car is similar to the Tulip, itself being a derivative of the "Dominator" interior used in the Dominator, the Buccaneer and the Manana, with the dial set also derived from the aforementioned cars.
The primary color is applied to most of the bodywork, while the secondary color is applied to the interior stitching. A trim color is also available, which is only applied to the "Trim Color Vinyl Roof" option. It uses unique black rims with circular holes around and silver/chrome centercaps, fitted with medium-profile tires with a whitewall detail.

Performance
3D Universe
Though the speed and acceleration are less than ideal, the handling is improved over comparable vehicles found in the same areas, and the braking is pretty good. The front-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle is heavy and relatively sturdy, capable of withstanding a good deal of damage and making it a relatively solid choice for drive-bys and primary transport.
The vehicle holds a V4 engine model (apparent by the cam textures and sparkplug inlets). In GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories, it uses a relatively loud engine sound shared with the Oceanic-based Bloodring Banger and the FBI Rancher, while in GTA San Andreas, it uses a mid-revving sound shared with the Perennial and the Regina.
The performance of the Greenwood is enhanced in GTA Vice City Stories. The vehicle now features a higher top speed and a five-speed gearbox (instead of the typical four-speed gearbox that was the case beforehand). Its stats are shared with the Glendale.

Grand Theft Auto Online
Vehicle
The Greenwood is powered by a V8 engine with a circular air filter on top, mated to a 3-speed gearbox and powering the rear wheels. It shares the engine sound with cars such as the Tulip, the Gauntlet Classic and the Imperator.
The Greenwood features improved performance over its 3D Universe counterpart, having good speed and acceleration. In addition, it possesses smooth handling and is quite durable against collisions. It even performs wheelies without its back-end hitting the ground too much, helping its acceleration further for faster take-off.
Features
The Greenwood, along with the Omnis e-GT and selected vehicles from The Contract update, can be modified with a Remote Control Unit, which allows for the ability to drive the vehicle remotely, similar to the RC Bandito and the Invade and Persuade Tank. Note that this feature cannot be kept if the Missile Lock-on Jammer is installed, and that the camera is always set to first-person view.
Armor/Defense
When the Armor Plating upgrade is equipped, the vehicle is given traditional armor plating on the sides in a similar manner to the armor padding of the Omnis e-GT, selected vehicles of The Contract update and the armored vehicles featured in the Executives and Other Criminals update. However, it gives a higher resistance to explosives in general. Unlike the vehicles from The Contract update, it lacks bulletproof windows, but it does not appear with a unique radar blip (features also present on the Omnis e-GT).
The Greenwood, along with the Omnis e-GT and selected vehicles from The Contract update, can be modified with a Missile Lock-on Jammer, which prevents the lock-on system of the Homing Launcher and other weaponized vehicles to target onto it. Note that it cannot be kept if the Remote Control Unit is installed.
Weapons
The vehicle has the option to install Slick Proximity Mines (green flashing light), which burst a large amount of oil on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to lose control. This deals no damage to either vehicles or players.

After rescuing Sweet from the ambush, Ryder and Smoke come back with the Greenwood and CJ starts to shoot at the pursuing police cars and bikes from the roof of the car. In the cutscene of the Tanker exploding, a unique light pink body Greenwood appears just behind the truck and is almost caught by the explosion, managing to miss (can't be obtained).

- In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Greenwood plays Radio Los Santos.
- In Grand Theft Auto Online, the default radio stations are grouped by genre. The Greenwood uses the "Funk" group which can play:
Trivia
General
- A Greenwood makes two brief appearances in Rockstar North's Manhunt 2.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Sweet's Greenwood plays either Bounce FM or CSR 103.9 by default when entered during his missions. Outside of the missions, it behaves like a normal Greenwood, playing Radio Los Santos.
- In the beta version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Greenwood's design was like in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
- Carl Johnson seems to dislike this car because in the mission End of the Line he says to Sweet "I can't believe you bought the same bucket ass car."
- The Greenwood still spawns in front of Sweet's house even though it has already been destroyed after the mission Reuniting the Families. The new Greenwood has the same registration as the previous one, and can be found outside Sweet's house as early as The Green Sabre.
- It could be possible that Sweet immediately bought the same Greenwood sometime later following the events of Reuniting the Families.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
- The color of the car cannot be changed at a Pay 'n' Spray. This is because the Greenwood is set to spawn in a single color scheme (71,73), a color scheme that is actually reminiscent of Sweet's Greenwood from GTA San Andreas.
Grand Theft Auto Online
- Game files suggest there was going to be an emergency variant of the Greenwood, the variable name
POLGREENWOOD
, likely a law enforcement or police-modified vehicle, but was later cut from the game. - The Southern San Andreas Super Autos description of the Greenwood describes the vehicle as a "bucket-ass car", referencing CJ's comments on Sweet's Greenwood during the End of the Line mission in GTA San Andreas.
Bugs & Glitches
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- A glitch occurs when either rear door is damaged upon collision with an object in the GTA San Andreas version of the car. When damaged, the door changes appearance and reverts to the GTA Vice City design.
- If one wrecks Sweet's car's rear bumper, the license plate will change to a random one (PC confirmed).
Grand Theft Auto Online
- If the "Side Trim Delete" option is selected when the car has Armor Plating installed, the car's entire body trim as well as its grille become invisible.
