"Jefferson" redirects here. For the district in the 3D Universe rendition of Los Santos, see Jefferson, Los Santos.
The Jefferson is a vehicle in Grand Theft Auto 2 that can only be found in the Industrial District of Anywhere City. It is considered the best car in the Industrial District, and it gives a Get Outta Jail Free Card when crushed.
The Jefferson's internal name is JEFFREY
, suggesting the car's name is based on a Rambler (the Rambler name was originally adopted for use by the Thomas B. Jeffery Company prior to the company's acquisition by Nash Motors in 1917). The sleek touring design of the Jefferson harks back to designs from the 1920s to the 1940s, resulting in a car that is more comparable to a Alfa Romeo 8C, for example, than a 1900s-1910s Rambler.
The car seems to be the oldest car in the series, being over 100 years old by the events of GTA2.
