Located just west of Vice Beach, it is surrounded by water and condominiums, and is a major attraction for the wealthy. Golfers are constantly seen in the area. Caddys spawn around the course, and a Comet spawns outside the building on the driveway. Two Patrol Invest Group guards stand at the entrance.
Firearms and other weapons (with the exception of brass knuckles) are not permitted on the course, and a metal-detector is located at the entrance, which automatically strips all weapons from the player and leaves them to be collected outside. Unfortunately, if the player has more than 6 weapons with him/her, only 6 of those weapons will be there.
However, this can be bypassed by climbing onto a high enough vehicle and jumping over the hedge. In the PS2 version of Vice City Stories the player can simply jump over one of the fences to the left or right of the entrance. (It's also possible to bypass the security gate by jumping a vehicle on to the grounds, or swimming/taking a watercraft to one of the boat docks.
- The name "Leaf Links" may be a parody of Leith Links, a park in Edinburgh, where Vice City's creators, Rockstar North are located, and where the game of golf originated. If you want to enter the course without stripping your weapons, of course, you can fly a helicopter here. If you were in Leaf Links, it is hard to navigate the place, as there are many divided islands. If you go to the southern island of this place it is even harder to return to Vice Point or Little Haiti, as there is a wooden bridge.
- However, you can take a shorter time by jumping on the bridge, as the bridge's wall is low enough for you to jump. there is a glitch were instead of golf carts a Cabbie may appear driving around on the course in GTA: Vice City.
- In one of the development drawings for Vice City, there was no Leaf Links.
