The Liberty City War Memorial is a commemorative statue that appears in Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
Description[]
The monuments commemorate an unspecified armed conflict that occurred in 1936. It is located opposite Francis International Airport, outside the Shoreside Terminal. This monument is a statue of a kneeling soldier holding a flag, comedically featuring a traffic cone on its head.
It is identified as a war memorial by the plaque on the statue's base reads "For those who fought for freedom 1936".
Inspiration[]
It is inspired by the real-life Equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington, Glasgow.
