New Guernsey is a district located in the Western landmass of Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto 1. It is based on New Jersey, while its name comes from Guernsey, a Channel Island, like Jersey. The district is bordered by Guernsey City to the north and water to the east and south.

In the mission Payback in Grand Theft Auto IV James Pegorino refers to the Pavanos' treating him and his family as "just a bunch of Guernsey goombas", despite GTA IV's rendition of New Jersey being called Alderney.
