According to Auto-oMobile, they have scooped up a rumour (thank god it's not true...yet) about Microsoft wanting to have a delay on Grand Theft Auto V for some unknown reasons. Microsoft's report states this by Auto-oMobile:

"What is interesting though is that Microsoft states the deal is only in limited supply so you should order quick. However in the terms and conditions, they put the GTA 5 pre-order window as ending on December 31st 2013...

So the obvious question is how does the offer end on Dec. 31, 2013 if GTA 5 is due out on September 17, and you're supposed to pre-order? Is there the possibility that the GTA 5 release date is being pushed back to the Christmas holidays? And if so does this apply to the Xbox 360 version only?

I am quite surprised that this has not been a hot topic as of late, considering that this would be big news for the Wiki.

On January 31st, Rockstar annouced on their newswire that the insanely anticipated GTA V will be released on September 17th. This may be to the dismay of some, as it was originally speculated to be somewhere between April and June. Here is what Rockstar said:

GTA fans, do I have some amazing news for! Well not as great as the release of GTA V itself but something close to that!

The nominations for the Spike's VGA Most Anticipated Game of the Year ended on Friday and it turns out that GTA V is the winner out of Bioshock: Infinite, South Park: The Stick of Truth, The Last of Us, and Tomb Raider. Take-Two Interactive has also picked up seven awards at VGA 2012, but that is 1/4 of the total awards though. Just think of how big GTA V will be during it's release! Rockstar Games deserves all the credit its getting - even though they didn't appear at the VGA's themselves.

I have very good news for every GTA fan:

Take-Two Interactive (R*'s parent company) has reported that everyone's favorite crime-sandbox 3rd-person shooter, the GTA series, has sold over 125 million copies, as of November 2012. It makes GTA one of the best-selling gaming franchises in history (finally tying with Tetris - which sold the same number of copies).

A previous report in 2011 stated that the series sold 114 million copies at the time, meaning over 11 million copies were sold within a year! It also saves R* from their "little" commercially failure with Max Payne 3, which "only" sold 3 million copies during its first week, and then only 440000 copies in the rest of the year.

On another note, T2 also revealed that GTA IV, the 2nd highest-rated game in history, has sold 25 million, as of 2012.

Hey, what's goin' on GTA Wikiers/Contributors?

Hurricane Sandy had struck New York a few hours ago. Parts of New York are out of power; Rockstar Studios has been hit as well.

According to their Newswire, they were working on the second trailer when H. Sandy struck and knocked out power. They reveiled that they will show the trailer after they will immediately continue to finish it when the power goes back on.

Hello criminals and lawmen alike!

Today, IGN has revealed that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will arrive to the iOS and Android devices this/next month - All as part of the game's 10th anniversary, same as Grand Theft Auto III last year.

According to Rockstar, Vice City "brings the full experience to mobile devices, featuring native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms." Rockstar promises that additional 10th anniversary celebrations will follow, including a new trailer, never-before-seen artwork and "a limited run of collectible promotional items" on the Rockstar Games Warehouse.

Well, Rockstar kept their promise, and released new screenshots:

The first screenshot shows us the second return of the parachutes, last seen in the previous title "The Ballad of Gay Tony". The character is seen to be near a mountain.

The second screenshot shows us a tennis field, which showes us a new activity for the game.

The final screenshot shows us a race of dirt bikes, the Sanchez bikes will reappear in the upcoming title.

Rockstar Games has finally released three more screenshots of its upcoming crime & sandbox game, GTA V.

The first screenshot shows us a jet. This jet is possibly a Hydra. Notice, it is a new model, and it will be possibly a new jet with a different name. It is also heavily armed with missles and miniguns. You can also see the "old guy" who is rumored to be the game's protagonist. Another hint?

The second screenshot shows us an ol' classic sports car from previous titles: the Cheetah (not Cheeta). Unlike previous versions of the Cheetah, that were based on the Ferrari, but this time, the car has bigger wheels and looks more like a muscle car.

The last screenshot is set in Santa Monica Park (Santa Maria Beach in GTA SA). You can clearly see a rider on what appears to be a race bike. Is that a hint that bikes will return? Yes it is!

Rockstar also stated "more in this week."

This August Gamescomwill be taking place, and it has recently released an official teaser trailer. At around 1:50 a scene from the first GTA V trailer. Also Rockstar and Take Two are on the list of companies attending Gamescom. Perhaps we will be seeing trailer 2 or more GTA V info this August.

Gamescom has announced that showing a clip of GTA V in its trailer was a mistake and the official trailer has been edited to not show this scene, however they also stated that they would probably be saying the same thing if GTA V really was at the show? Today is a special day (to me, atleast), it marks a year sionce I joined Wikia.

It all started on June 23rd, 2011 (duh!), after months of being annon, I made an account and began to travel through the wikis.

Until the start July 1st, I didn't make nothing, only some minor edits on some wikis. In that date, I found a 'new home' (nah, not really) in the form of the GTA Wiki, and by August, I've became a Patroller there. I was promoted to an admion in April 2012. I met many people there, some friendly, some vandals, but I had a really good time on that Wiki.

Okay, so a few days ago, some guys in the Rockstar Games Social Club found some code files called "vehicle.ide", the same code used for GTA vehicles. These codes contain information about the vehicles.

Max Payne 3 has more around 100 codes inside it, about cars, bikes, boats and helicopters. Some of this vehicles can be seen in the game, but the most of them can not be found. That led to many fans to believe that this is a hint to Grand Theft Auto V.
