Hosted by Forth Right MC (voiced by Chuck D.), Playback FM plays classic old school and golden age hip-hop, in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This station was released on a joint album with Radio Los Santos, and is also the Varrios Los Aztecas'  favorite radio station, as referenced when the player enters one of their gang cars. This station plays rap music made exclusively by East Coast artists, in contrast to Radio Los Santos which exclusively plays West Coast Hip Hop.

  • Despite the station being said to play "old school" and "golden age" rap, the station's in-game playlist only ranges from 1987 to 1992, almost the same time period as Radio Los Santos' playlist, which ranges from 1988 to 1992.
  • The song "Children's Story" by Slick Rick also appear in True Crime: New York City. which is considered as a GTA Clone.
