The Remote Grenade is a weapon found in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. It is also known as the Detonator Grenade in GTA Vice City. The weapon is a normal grenade but detonation is not with a timer but with a remote Detonator

  • On GTA Vice City, upon passing through the metal detectors at Escobar International Airport or Leaf Links, the remote grenades will be replaced with regular grenades at the entrance.
  • On the original PlayStation 2 release of GTA Vice City once having achieved 100%, throwing a remote grenade will make the detonator remain in the inventory unless the player buys other weapons, dies, gets arrested or goes through a metal detector (as above). This has been fixed in later versions.
