Schlongberg Sachs is a company featured in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V which engages in corporate and investment banking. They are based off of the real life financial institution Goldman Sachs. They are sometimes mentioned on Weazel News in financial reports. They are owned by the Bank of Liberty as their ATMs have Bank of Liberty interfaces.
In GTA IV, the Schlongberg Sachs headquarters is located on Asahara Rd near Babbage Drive, in Alderney City, Alderney. It is a parody of the Military Park Building, also known as the NorCrown Bank Building, in Newark, NJ.
Other locations include:
- They are apparently very well known for their successes and their employees' high bonuses, referencing the lucrative bonuses usually given to bankers at the end of the financial year. This is supported by the fact when Playboy X tells Niko Bellic during Blow Your Cover "I pay like a Schlongberg Sachs bonus!".
- Apparently the Pegorino Family owes money to the corporation as there is the place of start of the Out of Commission chase with Pegorino's men when they may be paying or getting money out of there.
- The name, "Schlong", referring to male genetalia, "berg" as a common Jewish surname ending (mocking the Jew/Money stereotype) and "Sachs", referring to "Goldman Sachs," a real-life bank that gains increasing attention from the public since the recent recession.
- Glenn Scoville mentions in his bail bound mission in GTA V, that he was the younger vice-president of the company.
