Scuba diving is an activity in Grand Theft Auto V. It can be performed anytime by the player, it can be used to get to hidden items in shipwrecks and other places underwater. Each individual character has his own lung capacity however if it's too low then with the use of scuba suit the player will have an oxygen tank. Many of the shipwrecks contain hidden treasure - usually around $25,000. Going very deep in the ocean trenches such as Mariana Trench causes the player to lose health and die of lack of oxygen due to high pressure. The player must also beware of sharks that appear in the ocean.
