Serbia, formerly part of Yugoslavia, is a landlocked country located at the crossroads of Central and Southeastern Europe, covering the southern part of Carpathian basin and the central part of the Balkans. It is bordered by Hungary to the north; Romania and Bulgaria to the east; Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo to the south; and Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro to the west. It is briefly mentioned throughout the Grand Theft Auto series and some characters originate from Serbia.
