Soviet Hill is a district located in the Northern landmass (north of Aye Valley) of San Andreas in Grand Theft Auto 1. It is based on Russian Hill, as Russia was a Soviet state. The district is bordered by Richman to the north, Sunrise to the east, Aye Valley to the south and Wood Hill to the west. According to GTA's website, it was called Soviet Hill because the governor sent a crack SWAT team to put down a hippie community living outside of Sunrise.
