The Steinway Projects is a low-income public housing project in Steinway, Dukes. It is the only housing project in Dukes. It consists of four 16 story buildings that are centered on Yorktown Avenue. The projects are mostly based on the Queensbridge projects in Queens, New York ,where famous rapper Nas, which has a song (titled "War is Necessary") on The Beat 102.7, lived in real-life. The buildings in the project are enterable. The Most Wanted criminal and Jamaican Mafia member Rodrigo Stavnes lives there.
