Influence[]

Why does Annis base their cars from Mazda vehicles despite the fact that Annis too is the GTA universe's answer to Nissan? Even though Mazda in real life, is currently owned by Toyota by a stake of 4.9 percent, especially since Toyota's GTA equivalent is Karin. ~~ ialociN adneG ~~ (Thursday, 27 August 2020)

  1. GTA is not real life.
  2. Only 2/8 Annis cars are primarily Mazda-based. 6/8 are Nissan-based.
  3. Very few GTA HD Universe manufacturers have a model line-up that is exclusively tied to one real life manufacturer.
  4. Toyota's minority stake in Mazda hardly qualifies as "ownership".

Influence (part two)[]

I deeply know GTA is not real life, but I deeply suspect why Annis provided Mazda-based cars even though Annis is a Nissan parody in the GTA series. Especially with Toyota being the current shareholder/stakeholder and investor to Mazda, while at the same time, Toyota is considered to be Nissan's domesticated nemesis.

But, I think Annis' method of referencing half of their models (like the Savestra) from Mazda vehicles could manifest the fact that Nissan uses names that Mazda first used, thus applied/trademarked at its own library. Such as the Mazda Titan (aka Mazda T-Series) lorry/truck, which Nissan reused the name for the Titan pickup/ute that is only for the U.S. and Canadian market, and the 'Infini' name that was later parallelled to 'Infiniti', which is Nissan's luxury marque introduced in 1989, three years after Mazda trademarked, thus introduced the 'Infini' name for their limited edition Mk2 RX-7.

Also, Annis' Mazda-based cars could be based on Mazda's past partnership with Nissan, since Nissan's Jatco subsidiary supplied automatic transmissions to Mazda and even Subaru vehicles, which Nissan owned (Subaru) from 1968 to 1999. Especially Nissan in Japan sold a rebadged version of the Mazda5  called 'Nissan Lafesta Highway STAR'. ~~ ialociN adneG ~~

About Annis Savestra...[]

Savestra is likely derived from 1972 Nissan Skyline C10 Hardtop Coupe 2000GT-R (KPGC-10) more than Mazda Savanna Series III, with Mustang-styled tail lights. thumb|Nissan Skyline C10 Hardtop Coupe 2000GT-R—Preceding unsigned comment added by Huskymoonmoon (talkcontribs) 2020-11-26T20:06:48 Please remember to sign your talk page messages with ~~~~.

Savestra's Nissan Skyline influence is noted on its page. Manufacturer table lists primary influence, which is not the Skyline. Smurfy: illuminate - communicate - spectate 20:16, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
