Why?

Do we really need a guide for driving? Driving just takes practice, and most people using this wiki for information are here because they already have practice playing GTA games. At the very least, could it go in the forum? Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 23:46, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

I find that few people take the time to learn how to drive correctly. If you feel that this should be moved, then by all means, move the guide where you feel it fit. unsigned by Reirol on 29 November 2008
This could be a useful article, but it needs work to be suitable for a wiki. I've added a cleanup tag to it, for now. --GuildKnightTalk2me 00:37, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
WTF, I want thinking about creating an article about driving. It certainly would be useful anyway considering this wiki is meant to be both a guide and a respiratory of in-game materials, so why not? I'll look through this page is see what needs improving. - ZS 14:24, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

Controlling aircraft

"The controls of aircraft are significantly different."

Flying aircraft can be made to work almost in exact same way as driving a car by reassigning controls. Planes and Helicopters each need a different set of keys that unfortunately need to be reset when changing vehicles. For planes, exchange Look Left / Left and Look Right / Right. For helicopters, set Steer Forward to Up, Steer Backwards to Down, Look Left / Left, Look Right to Right.

An additional pair of keys are needed for height and extreme and rarely used turning. I've set them to A / Z, Q / E. This is very handy because an extreme turn with an airplane usually needs to be compensated with an increase in height, so it makes sense to have them controllable with one hand. And on while on the ground an airplane is then drivable exactly like a car.

Makes missions involving aircraft much easier and the Pilot School obsolete.
