Grand Theft Auto V, on PS4?
I heard that GTA V could be comming for PS4. Normaly, other new games such as GTA 3, VC, SA, 4 can be played on PC so i think that gta v could be played on PC.

- I sincerely don't care if it comes out for PS3, 4, or Xbox. I love my PC. The only reason some peoples have consoles is because they consider it better than upgrading their computers. PC will always have superior graphics.

- Yeah, doesn't matter what is comes out on, consoles or PC. I prefer my gaming play on a console because I used to have GTA: San Andreas and GTA IV on my PC, but it was too confusing for me to locate the proper controls and it crashes my computer. Nevertheless, the graphics were way better than the console versions. (I don't own a gamepad or anything because my parents will not waste money on a device for me.) Incorrect Thumbnail
When one looks through the categories (or the "Read More" section) the current thumbnail is the this image instead of the image in the infobox. I would fix it but I don't know how (exactly how do you fix that?).

The return of truck trailers.
A semi-truck pulling a trailer is also seen in the promo vid, so this feature which was added to San Andreas might be returning.

Fixed-wing aircraft
R* has confirmed it: fixed-wing aircraft are set to return, and they'll be flyable. From the R* website:
"[Liberty City] was simply too small for effective and enjoyable flying. It was the first time we made a high definition open world, and it was a massive amount of work to make something on that scale – we simply could not make an environment big enough for planes to work properly. Fear not, they are returning in what is our biggest open world game to date."

The Protaganist and Name is U-N-K-N-O-W-N!! and Details are Too Reveiled
We don't know who the protaganist is or the name, but people keep on putting on this page that his name is "Albert De Sliva" or "Chico Vialpando". First of all, the name, Albert De Silva was made up on the GTAForums website on the GTA V Wishlist. The alledged "leaked content" from a R* employee fired from general misconduct confirming the protaganist's name must have checked GTAForums then decided to "write the the facts". This is also used on the Dual Shock Nexus website about GTA V's "leaked content" by a former R* employee named "Breandon Bax", but the details of the game are too detailed and too dumb and have horrible grammar.http://www.dualshocknexus.com/2012/04/massive-rumor-ex-rockstar-intern-leaks.html#!/2012/04/massive-rumor-ex-rockstar-intern-leaks.html. This was all taken from GTA San Andreas with same GTA San Andreas characters and a GTA LCS character. If GTA V had Chico with the money, the cars, and the fame, would you start out the game with $99,999,999,999 dollars and have a Pegassi Infernus parked right in front of your house after you walk out of your house to start the first mission? Plus, this would be the next chapter of GTA: San Andreas and this game WILL NOT be "2012's Biggest Release" and WILL SUCK if you had to play GTA V with the same similarities as San Andreas.

Release date revealed
Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on September 17, 2013. It has been delayed from its previous launch window of Spring.
GTA V in a new era?
Hi people, why in GTA wikia here I see that GTA V is in a new era? I dont think so, it's in the same era as GTA IV because of the cars, and environment. Sure, there are 5 years of diference from 2008 and 2013, but its not in a new era. I mean, GTA I and GTA 2 are in the same era as in the 2D era games. And, what if in GTA V there are references about liberty city, exact city, and references to Niko Bellic in the game? GTA IV and GTA V can be in the same era.Can someone explain why people say its a new era? I totally disagree !! I want it changed...

There is a reason why GTA IV and V are not in the same era and have distinct eras. Here are the points:
- For GTA 1 and 2: The eras do not represent graphics; 2D and 3D. They are storyline/continutity eras. Even Rockstar Games said they use the era term for their GTA franchise.
- GTA 1 had expansions GTA: London 1969 and 1961. That's the GTA 1 Era
- GTA 2; it is a single era.
- The GTA III Era had GTA III, VC, SA, Advance, LCS, and VCS. Each game had references to these games in this era and characters; thier lives before and after (i.e. Kent Paul; Lance Vance; Toni Cipriani)
- The GTA III Era never had numbers in their title. If it did, it would be was GTA III: Vice City, GTA III San Andreas, GTA III: Advance, GTA III: LCS, and GTA III: VCS, then it would indicate that they are in the same era. It was never GTA IV: Vice City, GTA V: SA, GTA VI: Advance, GTA VII: LCS and GTA VIII: VCS
- The GTA IV era had HD game engine and that was new to the franchise. The GTA IV Era was GTA IV: The Lost and Damned and GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony (GTA: TBoGT; The IV was its beta name), and Chinatown Wars. Each game was a crossover(excluding CW, which took a year after IV); taking place at the same time, same city. Niko and Johnny and Luis crossed paths in missions. This era used the same city unlike the GTA III Era in which they used different cities. Chinatown Wars took place in Liberty City, but had totally new characters. Due to this, it wasn't GTA V: Chinatown Wars because the setting was in LC.
- Now the GTA V Era, you got that one confused. If V was in the same era as IV, why hasn't Rockstar annouced it would be part in GTA IV's Episodes From Liberty City, even though it will be in Los Santos? Why did it take FIVE YEARS to make this "GTA IV Expansion"? Would the title be called, "Grand Theft Auto IV: V or GTA IV: Los Santos? No, it wouldn't because Rockstar would tell us that it was a GTA IV expansion. It would be in a DLC, just like EFLC and we would've got word about Niko, Johnny, and Luis returning.
GTA V will take place in a new era, with a different city, new characters and new missions. The GTA IV Characters be will be mentioned as an easter egg probably, but will never return in the game.

Tony, you are incorrect, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is not in a different 'era' than Grand Theft Auto: IV. The reason being, Iggy from Liberty Rock Radio mentions about moving to Vice City.

Look, I know its the stories, but Rockstar Games just confirmed GTA IV is in the GTA V era, as in same story life. So you're saying that in GTA IV, TBOGT, TLAD and CTW is one universe and GTA V is another one? or, Are you saying that Los Santos doesnt look like the one in the trailer in GTA V (Although theres no pics, just mentioned) What if in the game of GTA V, niko bellic or anybody else from Liberty City is mentioned, or liberty city appears on TV? GTA V not in a new universe, meaning no new ERA...
It has been official comfirmed that GTA V will be in the same exact universe as GTA IV, so Niko Bellic for example, exists in GTA V time... Comfirmed in gameinformer and a video from GTA5videos official info, gameplay and locations. Massionet51 (talk) 12:08, November 18, 2012 (UTC)

I wouldn't count on it, Rigby2000. There is a slight chance, but it has been about 18 years after Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The gangs could have worn out by then, or taken over by new gangs. If anything, there will probably be gangs, just not Grove Street, Ballas, or Vagos. Also, it wouldn't be likely that they would be a major part of the story. Police agencies
It seems that they are different police agencies in the game because of what I saw in screenshots. Some cars have red and blue lights. While others have all red lights and also some have completely blue lights. Also the ones with blue lights have different livery of course this could be just an FIB cars because it is very similar to real life FBI agent cars. What are your thoughts.

Spring Release Date
It is very wrong to say GTA5 is out in Spring of every major country - I live in Aus and the posters and flyers in JB Hi-Fi and EB Games say Autum release, which is America's Spring, so I think that should be changed for each country's season, not just slapping 'Spring' on them all when an Australian Spring is between September and November and why would Rockstar wait several months to realease in AUS when Australia is a major country. Dan Houser interview

In an interview on Game Informer, writer and producer Dan Houser had this to say to the magazine:
"Just at the conceptual level, the idea was three separate stories that you play in one game. The next bit was, let’s not have the stories intersect once or twice but have them completely interwoven. It felt like it was going to be a real narrative strength: you get to play the protagonist and the antagonist in the same story."
So that would have to mean either Trevor, Michael or Franklin is actually both the protagonist and the antagonist. Given the fact that he mentioned it in an interview, it can't really be a huge spoiler. Maybe it's not a spoiler at all, and we'll find it out in the first mission. Personally, it doesn't affect me, it just gets me hyped up even more for the game. I was going to put it in the article, but since I know a few people are going to contemplate it as a big spoiler, I wanted to see if it could in put into the article. All GTA protagonists are known as "anti-heroes" which mean they're good and bad at the same time instead of being called criminals. It might be a hint that one of the protags is a good guy and the other is a bad guy. Michael seems to be the good guy, according to the second trailer, and Trevor could be the bad guy and possibly the good guy for him working with Michael; an anti-hero.

It's probably a placeholder so people can figure out the "release date" and can pre-order it. They've done this even when GTA V was announced last year; alot of retailers put a spring month with a date and a 2012 or a 2013 year release date.

GTA V MAP IN BAHAMA MAMAS?Edit
Ive seen in bahama mamas, while I was playing multiplayer in TBOGT, and in the staff room, you know, the office where a girl gives a blowjob to luis in Boulevard baby? Well in the desk, there is a mug and a map, I looked at the map and it looks like a new map, diferent shape, not LC, if that map exist in game, it must exist IN-GAME universe, think about it. There's been alot of talk about GTA V was origionally going to be GTA Vice City II, but RockStar Games was half way through the storyline and development of GTA IV when the idea was given. I have no ironclad evidence to support this, and you guys have more reliable resources than a couple of close friends that are obsessed with the franchise. I personally like Franklin. He is very young and he looks very awesome, because I liked CJ actually :) Michael is also very interesting but he looks too old for an GTA Character. Ok Trevor os also a liitle bit old but he is just like you say badass.

I am not sure, I am not too much into Trevor, he seems funny, but I need more of a backstory to actually find out why he is like this. That's what made me go crazy for Niko. Maybe I am not a fan of Trevor is because he reminds me of Mikhail Faustin, funny, but no clear backstory why he is a crazy, blood-bathing murderer. Hopefully in the game they will give us more information about his past. Until then, I will go with Franklin, he seems like the character that would be doing racing activites.

Well Erik, I can't say that statement is completely true. Niko Bellic did activities like drinking, probably to wash away pain of the war, played darts, and pool with other characters, he enjoyed them and he's a criminal. Why wouldn't Micheal want to take yoga to relax the stress of his life that he isn't happy with. Or maybe Franklin, Micheal, and Trevor could play tennis to hang out. We don't have alot of backstory of each character, so we can't dimiss this completley. But if anything, it is more fun than playing only about 5 mini-games in Grand Theft Auto 4.

Okay, you obviously missed the point Drinking and careening wildly through traffic in a dump truck is a considerably different thing than slapping on some cyan leotards and spending four hours performing awkward poses in front of my kids like that freak at their favourite park every Thursday. Really, there aren't exactly an abundance of likeable cirminal protagonists who don't drink, so Niko's haunting memories of dead children lined up against a church with their hands cut off are perfectly understandable - Erik the Mad (talk) 10:01, April 30, 2013 (UTC)
