Illegal Copy[]

Illegal copy BEFORE release? How much do people know about that? Was it the real game, full version? What was it on (PC/360/PS3)? How did they get the software before it was released? Any other info? Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 02:07, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

After some research, I've concluded that this is the only evidence of any illegal copy. Is that possibly what this article is talking about? And just in case it isn't clear, I did the research for the wiki, NOT for myself. I have my own copy of GTA IV (PS3) that I payed $119 for. I don't need, nor want an illegal copy! It is very unlikely that this article is referring to using a photocopier to copy the disc. More likely, it is referring to the fact that days before it's official release, One could search torrents and find it available for download. --GuildKnightTalk2me 19:29, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes, surprisingly, it's nothing new, this kind of thing happens all the time, although it's mostly movies and albums which are copied in such a way. I'm not sure about how games can be copied before release, but it obviously happens. And, yes, most of the time it's the full version of the game. Hardrock182 03:13, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
