The Tear Gas Launcher is a weapon that was cut from Grand Theft Auto V.

Description[]

Based on the weapons.meta and explosion.meta files, the weapon is fitted with Tear Gas rounds, which emit a noxious gas that behaves in the same way as the normal Tear Gas canisters[2], while retaining some of the main characteristics of the regular Grenade Launcher. The only difference appears to be the overall range of about 25 meters (82 feet), in contrast with the Grenade Launcher's range of 150 meters (492 feet). It would also support the same attachments as the regular version, though could be leftovers from the former.

There is no clear indication of what the purpose of the weapon was, but it is assumed to have been intended for the NOOSE, as they are known to use Tear Gas canisters during wanted levels under specific circumstances. Whether it could be obtainable by the player or limited for NPCs (like the Fire Extinguisher or the Flashlight in story mode) is unclear.
