The Meat Quarter is a neighbourhood in western Algonquin on the shores of the West River. The Meat Quarter is located south of Westminster, west of The Triangle, and north of Castle Garden City and Suffolk. The neighbourhood's major draw is a large retail park located along the Algonquin coast, accessed through Hematite Street. The retail park houses a number of public services including a bowling alley, a small park, a Burger Shot fast food outlet and a large golfing driving range situated along a pier based on the Chelsea Piers in New York City.
Transportation
- There is one Subway station located in The Meat Quarter: Hematite station. This station serves the Hematite retail park and can be accessed from the A/J Algonquin Outer Line.
