Toreno's Last Flight is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas given to protagonist Carl Johnson by San Fierro Triads leader Wu Zi Mu from Carl's garage in the Doherty district of San Fierro, San Andreas.

Mission

Mike Toreno escaped death when Carl and Cesar Vialpando killed T-Bone Mendez and Ryder, but Wu Zi Mu has tracked Toreno down to a Maverick helicopter at the SFPD headquarters.

Carl drives to Downtown and sees Toreno's men guarding the Maverick. Carl kills Toreno's guards and as he approaches the Maverick, it takes off with Toreno on board. Carl collects a Rocket Launcher and/or an M4. The Maverick flies off south with Carl in pursuit. Carl shoots the Maverick out of the sky and kills everyone on board.

Script

Wu Zi Mu (phone): Carl, it's Woozie. I've got some information for ya.

Carl Johnson: Hey Woozie, what's the business?

Wu Zi Mu (phone): My man found that van you were looking for, it's by the helipad downtown.

Carl Johnson: And Toreno?

Wu Zi Mu (phone): Yep, he's there. Apparently he's about to take some merchandise and cut by helicopter. They've already started loading boxes.

Carl Johnson: Something about Toreno don't add up. Holler back if you hear something.

(Carl drives to Downtown, kills Toreno's guards and chases the Maverick, managing to destroy the Maverick whilst it is in flight)

Reward

The rewards this mission are $18,000 and an increase in respect. If the mission The Da Nang Thang is done, then the mission Yay Ka-Boom-Boom is unlocked.

Notes

Adding to the difficulty of the mission, due to its proximity to the police station its easy to reach a 3-star wanted level during the event, though the wanted level will vanish once the mission is completed.

Trivia

  • If the Rocket Launcher hits the helicopter as the player dies, the player gets a miraculous health boost just big enough to survive. This is confirmed on PlayStation 2.
  • At some point during the chase, the helicopter will drop Toreno's bodyguards at the Flint County safehouse, the player being warned that there is an ambush; then, it will fly away, giving the player only a few seconds to destroy it.
