NEWS: PATROLLER NOW

Sup. I'm Carl Johnson Jr. I'm a frequent editor on GTA Wiki. I mostly help around with all kinds of stuff. But I'm also good at making Character sections for different neighbourhoods throughout the GTA series.

GTA Games I played

Favourite GTA Game

Official Map

Grand Theft Auto V. I've spent so much time on that game that I ended up calling real-life cars by their GTA names. I can also manage to remember the GTA V map at the top of my head. I sometimes doodle it during lectures.

Favourite Protagonist

It's tough to choose. It's either Niko Bellic or Michael De Santa. Both men help shine light on the real problems of life not featured in regular video games. Family problems, financial problems, getting adjusted to a new society.

Ratings

  • GTA III - 5/10

GTA III was pretty dull, to be honest. Even though it was groundbreaking back then, it's still not that good of a game in my standards. The map was too small, the story was too boring, and there are barely any good features. The missions were also nearly impossible, and they almost made me throw down my controller.

  • GTA VC - 9/10

GTA VC was a step forward. The map is still kind of small, but Rockstar did a good job in creating that 80s atmosphere. I find myself getting songs from Flash FM stuck in my head. The story was much more better and Tommy Vercetti was such a cool dude. The missions were more easy and less repetitive (drive to [location] and pick up package).

  • GTA SA - 8/10

GTA SA is a good game, but I feel that it's kind of overrated. The story's alright, but I just feel that it drags on too much. CJ is an awesome protagonist, which is why I named myself after him. There were some missions that were near impossible, like the one where I had to scare that dude tied to my car in Las Venturas. The map is kind of big, but there was not enough detail or atmosphere. When I was in LV, it didn't feel like a gambling sin city with bright neon lights. A lot of the map was empty, too.

  • GTA IV - 10/10

The HD Universe is where things start to change. GTA IV was much more focused on the story and the emotional traumas of the characters themselves. There's more dialogue, cutscenes, etc. The missions were all not hard to complete, except for when I had to capture Gracie Ancelotti. The map was much more detailed and vivid. I loved the new Liberty City. It felt like I was in NYC.
