The Devils Chosen Motorcycle Club is an outlaw motorcycle club operating in northern San Andreas in 2013. It primarily operates out of the coastal city of Waylon but also maintains a growing presence in Montgomery. It is known to be extremely violent and aggressive in defense of its interests or in retaliation for any perceived show of disrespect.
History[]
According to their website, the Devils Chosen was formed in northern San Andreas in the summer of 2011 as a small club for people unsatisfied with the rampant betrayal often seen in the motorcycle world. It was founded by six former servicemen to reclaim the sense of brotherhood and camaraderie found in the armed forces.
Chapters[]
Formed in 2011 the "mother chapter" is the oldest and most powerful chapter which maintains a strict dominance over the criminal underworld of Waylon. It violently enforces a "street tax" and aggressively punishes any delay in payment. In a campaign of ruthless violence the chapter shut down the older gangs in the city to claim Waylon as its own.
The chapter brokered a working relationship with the Ballas and Varrios Los Aztecas to establish a methamphetamine trafficking network linked to the Sandy Shores druglord Trevor Philips. The Waylon chapter also established a club-wide alliance with the infamous Angels of Death MC to gain a major ally.
It is the largest chapter and is known to maintain a strong presence in Waylon with patched members being a very common sight.
Founded in mid-2013 the Montgomery chapter was formed by original member Earl Harris in a move to expand the club's power. It is monitored closely by the Waylon chapter to ensure that it remains loyal to the "mother chapter".
It is heavily involved in the distribution and cooking of methamphetamine in Red County. The chapter operates a highly lucrative meth trafficking network that has earned it the favour of the club leadership.
Patch[]
Like outlaw motorcycle clubs across the world the Devils Chosen wear a three-piece back patch in the standard layout. The club redesigned its patch several times before settling on the menacing emblem that is becoming a common sight in northern San Andreas.
After several redesigns the Devils Chosen patch features black rockers with grey edging carrying the club name and state in bold grey lettering. The centre patch depicts a snarling devil's head with long curved horns. A square 'MC' box patch hangs to the right of the centre patch above the bottom rocker. This new patch is regarded as the most treasured possession of patched members, even more so than their motorcycles, who will violently and aggressively defend it.
A prospect is not allowed to wear the full patch until he has proven himself worthy of it and has been "patched in" following a full chapter vote. Any prospect caught wearing the patch is savagely beaten and expelled from the club. Prospects are only allowed to wear the bottom rocker and the 'MC' box patch. In a similar fashion hang arounds, unaffiliated bikers hoping to join the club, are not allowed to wear the patch or any other club insignia until they are sponsored for prospecting.
Membership[]
The Devils Chosen, much like their ally, is extremely selective about its membership. Each chapter employs a strict recruitment strategy with prospective members subjected to extensive background checks and heavy scrutiny. This period of relentless scrutiny takes place while the hopeful member makes himself known to the club as a "hang around". If they pass this initial period of testing they may be sponsored by a member to become a "prospect".
The prospecting period lasts for at least a year during which time the club closely scrutinizes the conduct and loyalty of the prospect to determine if he is worthy of a patch. Prospects are often subjected to harsh hazing and are expected to carry out any order given to them by patched member without question. If the club feels that the prospect is worthy enough or that he will be of use to the chapter the patched members will vote on whether or not to give him his patch. If all members vote in support of the prospect he will be "patched in" and given his full patch to become a member. If one or more members vote against him the prospect may be expelled from the club as a whole or subjected to a longer prospecting term. The decision is at the discretion of the patched members.
Like most outlaw motorcycle clubs the Devils Chosen does not allow female members. Women are only allowed to become associates of the club as the wives and girlfriends of members and are known as "old ladies". Prospective members are often asked to use drugs or carry out acts of serious crime in order to prove that they are not an undercover law enforcement operative. In addition to this the club holds multiple requirements for acceptable members as laid out in the club by-laws.
- To be eligible for membership a prospective member must be male.
- A prospective member must be of either white or hispanic ethnicity.
- A prospective member must have no connection with law enforcement either personally or through a friend or family member.
- A prospective member must own and ride a "chopper" style motorcycle
- In order to be considered for membership a prospective member must submit to a full background check and character screening.
- Prospective members who are revealed to be practicing drug addicts will not be accepted.
- Prospective members must demonstrate loyalty and commitment to the club to be considered for membership.
The membership of the Waylon-based "mother chapter" includes disillusioned veterans of the Australian-American War and multiple conflicts in the Middle East. Both chapters count career criminals, successful drug dealers, disillusioned war veterans and violent individuals among their membership. Membership is closely monitored by senior members to ensure that all patched members remain unswervingly loyal to the club.
