Game guide videos
Thanks for adding the GTA V game guide videos, but would it be possible to add the GTASeriesVideos (http://www.youtube.com/user/GTASeriesVideos/) instead of the IGN videos? Thanks. GTAndrew (talk) 22:35, September 24, 2013 (UTC)
- Wikia as a company prefers to use the IGNs videos because their hosted through our own hosting service, which provides monetization for us and are fully licensed so they'll never be removed for any sort of copyright issue. I noticed that the wiki has been pulling the Youtube videos and I'm not sure if there is a completely agreed upon format for posting those videos.
- Is there a manual of style or admin consesus on the video content for GTA V that you know of? I'll refrain from adding in any more IGN videos at this point to prevent further clashing. Again, we prefer the stuff we have hosted on video.wikia.com, but we will not force these videos on if the wiki as a whole does not want them. Thanks for reaching out to me about this, the last thing I want to do is throw off any work-in-progress. Appreciate it!
