Welcome[]

Hi, welcome to GTA Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Vipluxuryringtones.com page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- ZS (Talk) 12:56, May 3, 2010

Page[]

Thanks a lot for adding the page Spike Stip, you did good. --Thomas0802 (talk-Edits) 21:43, July 16, 2013 (UTC) I don't know if they use in VCS, I searched it and I didn't founded it. However I'll try to download the new VCS mod for San Andreas in the PC (my only platform), then I'll know. Thanks --Thomas0802 (talk-Edits) 17:17, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

Trivia[]

On Eastbourne Way's trivia, people aren't going to understand why there is a significance as to why they are both towns in England, what if we change it to:

  • Eastbourne Way is based on Burton Way in Los Angeles, both Eastbourne, and Burton, are towns in England; which is the country that the founders of Rockstar Games are from.

Sorry reverted in error[]

Here. Was on my phone and must have mis-tapped. Smurfy: illuminate - communicate - spectate 13:22, September 22, 2017 (UTC)

Staff opportunity[]

Hi there, VEO15.

Have you ever considered trying for a spot on the staff team? You are a relatively active user and have made a decent amount of contributions over a period of time. I feel you'd be a successful candidate and would be useful in the Patroller team. Let me know what you think. :) - Monk Talk 22:50, December 1, 2017 (UTC)

Vortex[]

Hello, I wish to inform you that the first vehicle named Vortex (in this case the hovercraft) does not need the "(hovercraft)" next to its name, only the motorbike, as it's the second Vortex in the GTA series. The same applies to any other vehicles; first appearances don't need anything in parentheses. Matrexpingvin (talk) 11:50, June 14, 2019 (UTC)

Notice - Spelling and grammar

Site-logo
Please ensure to follow our Manual of Style regarding spelling and grammar when editing on the GTA Wiki.

One or more recent edits you have made seem to have been to change a term or spelling from UK English to US English or vice versa.

Manual of Style: Language Usage
On GTA Wiki, we accept both UK English and US English spelling, since almost all titles have been developed in the UK and set in the US. We don't need to specify both spellings on any articles, nor do we encourage editors to "correct" any spelling from one correct version to another.

Manual of Style: Vehicles
The spelling of some specific vehicle terms on vehicle articles is determined by the vehicle's main inspiration's origin. For example, the Elegy RH8 appears to be based on the Nissan GT-R, a car designed and assembled by Nissan in Japan. English speakers in Japan predominantly use American English, meaning terms such as "hood", "trunk" and "windshield" are used on the Elegy RH8 article, as opposed to their UK English equivalents. You can find out more about which variations of English are used in different countries on this dedicated Wikpedia article, as well as examples of specific terms listed in the Manual of Style.

What you should do now
Please avoid continuing to change the use of UK and US English on articles unless compliant with the detailed outlined in the Manual of Style.

If you have any questions about the Manual of Style, please use the dedicated section, or if you need assistance with spelling, please contact me on my talk page or that of any other staff member.

Changing Headings to Lowercase[]

Hello. I must ask you to please stop changing section headings ('Prominent Appearances in Missions', 'See Also', etc.) to lowercase, as these should always be written in title case. Thank you. Matrexpingvin (talk) 23:07, 10 November 2021 (UTC)

Notice - File naming and/or licensing

Site-logo
Please ensure to properly name and/or license images that you upload to the GTA Wiki

Image licensing and naming is part of our official Media Policy, and as such, it is asked of all users to respect the policy and add a proper name and license when uploading as described here.

Licenses
Whenever you upload an image to the wiki, towards the bottom of the page there is an option to add a license.

  • For images that are game screenshots, use the appropriate Screenshots & in-game logos.
  • For images extracted directly from game files or from Rockstar Games websites, use This file is copyright to Rockstar Games. ({{Rockstar}})
  • For non-game screenshots (pictures taken from the web etc.), select This image is used under Fair Use.
  • For images that are not licensed, e.g. images you have created from scratch yourself, select This is in the Public Domain.

File names
As a general rule of thumb, image names should follow the following pattern:

PageSubjectName-GTAgame-OptionalDescription.png

The name can be modified in the bar right above the "add license" option when you are uploading it, and must match with the Media Policy (a table of correct names can be seen here).

What you should do now
Because your recent upload was non-compliant, you are now expected to take steps to fix the issues with your file(s). There is a detailed tutorial on how to do this here.

If you have any questions about the policy, please use the dedicated section, or if you need assistance fixing your files, please contact me on my talk page or that of any other staff member.

This message is informational, and is not to be considered an official warning, however, ignoring this message can lead to the file(s) you uploaded being deleted and possibly to an official warning or a block if you continue to ignore the policy on subsequent uploads. For more information on licensing and copyright, see here.
Thank you!

You are licensing the files ok, but please read the image naming rules. Thanks. Smurfy: illuminate - communicate - spectate 02:14, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
