Vice News Network (VNN) is, as its name implies, a Vice City-based news network that broadcasts coverage of events that occur in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. During broadcasts, radio stations cannot be changed and unusually broadcasts are heard in a law enforcement vehicle. Broadcasts include:
- Hurricane Gordy warning.
- Bridges reopening.
- Gang warfare between Los Cabrones and the Cholos.
- Hit and Runs caused by the chase between Bryan Forbes and the Vances.
- The mayhem caused during the "Nice Package" mission, which is interpreted as a street race.
- Hunter attack helicopter theft by Victor Vance.
- Biker Gang slaughter.
- Escalating violence between gangs.
- Warehouse explosion in Little Haiti.
- Aircraft Fuel Storage explosion in Escobar International Airport.
- The slaughter in the Mendez Mansion.
- The hi-jacked Hunter in Fort Baxter Air Base.
These broadcasts are usually heard after the associated mission has been completed.
Trivia
- VNN is a parody of CNN.
- The network's humorous slogans at the end of each report are reminiscent of those used in the 1994 British spoof current affairs program The Day Today, and its radio predecessor On the Hour.
