Vinyl Countdown is a music store located in both Vice City (in 1984 & 1986) and Los Santos (in 1992), and appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

Description

In GTA Vice City, the store, which is found at the North Point Mall and has an accessible interior, is one of fifteen stores that must be robbed for 100% completion, whilst the same store in GTA Vice City Stories is where Smiley #9 can be found although it has no other purpose. The name is a reference to the hit single "The Final Countdown" by Swedish rock band Europe - the song was released the same year GTA Vice City was set in.

In GTA San Andreas, there is a small billboard of both Love Fist and possibly a character in the same outfit as Lance Vance. Many fans are wondering if that is actually him, or a Lance Vance look alike, but Lance Vance was killed in 1986 by Tommy Vercetti.
