Wade Johnson, also known as The Fixer, is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series who appears as an unseen supporting character in Grand Theft Auto IV.
Background
Wade Johnson was born in Texas in 1947, and moved to Liberty City sometime before 1967. Wade is an assassin agency manager. He works by receiving tasks from clients and later contacting known hitmen through payphones and delivering instructions to them on who to kill, much like Mr. Black in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. He is also believed to be working as a fence for stolen property. He was arrested in 1967 for Draft Resistance, and in 1982 for Stolen Property.
Events of Grand Theft Auto IV
Niko Bellic is referred to Johnson by Pegorino associate, Phil Bell. Through Johnson, Bellic carried out nine murders, dealing only through a payphone in Port Tudor, Alderney. He broke his ties with Bellic due to the police being able to track them if they do business for too long. If you try to call him through his number on the cell phone it will say that there is no such number. Completing The Fixer's missions are not required to continue the game's storyline, but they are required for 100% completion and the trophy/achievement "Assassin's Greed", a reference to the game series Assassin's Creed.
He always talks to Niko in a respectful and polite manner, usually addressing him as "brother". Even when the player fails an assassination mission, Johnson does not get angry, and simply tells Niko to contact him again via the payphone if he wants another pass at a job. As he breaks his ties with him, he wishes him well, wishing him to reach old age, as people in his profession are rarely able to do that.
