The Air Ambulance at Escobar International Airport before picking up a patient.

Air Rescue is an exclusive odd job to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories activated through an Air Ambulance. This odd job is different to the other ones in the previous Grand Theft Auto games. In this one Victor Vance, the protagonist has to save patients by picking them up with a winch below the helicopter. After passing 15 levels, the mission is completed and the player's health will go up by 50%. The later levels become trickier as the wind will make handling the helicopter much more difficult. The mission cannot be activated until the player has completed the mission From Zero To Hero as the Air Ambulance does not appear until the eastern island has been unlocked.

A glitch has been spotted in the PS2 version in which if the Air Ambulance crashes, the game does not trigger the Wasted sequence, allowing the player to resume. All that is seen is the image of the crashed helicopter and vehicles driving around, with a static camera. The only way out (other than resetting the game) is to load a previous game file.
