"You've been rocking the pirate-chic look for a while, but no vicious weapon to complete the look? Get this dagger with a guarded hilt."
Rockstar Games Social Club description.

The Antique Cavalry Dagger is a melee weapon added in the "I'm Not a Hipster" Update for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

Design

Grand Theft Auto V

The Antique Cavalry Dagger is most likely based on an old Civil War cavalry dagger with slight Bowie knife features.

The weapon is described as a small dagger with a small handguard on the handle. The name suggests it comes from a different region (possibly of a European origin in a different era, given the vintage appearance).

Performance

Grand Theft Auto V

The Antique Cavalry Dagger is more powerful than the knife, and is capable of one-hit killing most of the enemies in single player. Like the Knife and Knuckle Dusters, the Antique Cavalry Dagger can be used underwater.

Trivia

Grand Theft Auto V

  • It bears a resemblance to the Knife in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
  • The original HUD icon shows that the Dagger is more squared with a narrow edge and the central blade line starts on the handguard. However, the in-game Dagger is slighty curved to the end, and the blade line starts from some sort of marks next to the same handguard. The enhanced HUD icon, however, features a more correctly modeled version, but lacking the detailings on the handguard.
