Kendl Johnson: “Hey! Hey Carl, look, I think I found a way for us to get paid.”
Carl Johnson: “I ain't going to no college to study no accounting!”
Kendl Johnson: “No, idiot, property!”
Carl Johnson: “Decorating ain't exactly my thing, either.”
Kendl Johnson: “No! Property development! Look, you buy a dump like this, fix it up and sell it. Or better yet, turn the property into a business...”
— Kendl Johnson introducing property development to Carl Johnson in Wear Flowers in Your Hair.
Assets in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are properties that can generate income for the player.
Description
There are a total of 10 income-generating properties, three of which have to be purchased first and two of which have to be acquired for storyline purposes. After acquisition of the property, the asset will generate income until reaching the maximum in a day.
This feature is briefly introduced during the mission Doberman, while the purchasable asset is first made available after the mission Wear Flowers in Your Hair.
List of Assets
These assets are available to purchase or acquire in the game.
- *The Johnson House's profit depends on the number of territories occupied by the Grove Street Families. The maximum profit is $10,000 (unless the player uses the territory glitch).
Asset Missions
These are the missions that are unlocked once the corresponding property is bought. All missions must be completed in order for each property to produce income for pickup.
Zero RC
- Air Raid - Shoot down miniature planes attacking Zero's rooftop transmitters.
- Supply Lines... - Use a miniature plane fitted with a machine gun to shut down Berkley's delivery service.
- New Model Army - Help Zero win in his RC showdown against Berkley.
Wang Cars
- Zeroing In - Pinpoint a target vehicle using a satellite cellphone tracker made by Zero.
- Test Drive - Steal two cars from a dealership and have a joyride around San Fierro.
- Customs Fast Track - Steal a car down at the docks.
- Puncture Wounds - Hijack a car by laying spike strips in front of it.
Verdant Meadows Airstrip
- Learning to Fly - Pass all ten tests at Flight School and gain access to all airports.
- N.O.E. - Fly under the Radar to Angel Pine and back to drop supplies.
- Stowaway - Destroy a plane... in flight.
- Black Project - Infiltrate Area 69 to steal the secret "Black Project".
- Green Goo - Rob a train to steal some alien looking stuff for The Truth.
The asset missions for Zero RC and Wang Cars, while necessary for 100% completion of the game, are not mandatory for completion of the game storyline.
