Their products can be worn by the player and come in a variety of colours. Beat Off is based on the headphone Beats, which are advertised by the rapper Dr. Dre whose songs can be heard on West Coast Classics. The Beat Off logo is almost identical to the Beats logo, except for an added "O". In a radio advertisement, it is revealed that Beat Off is sponsored by a rapper, just like how Beats is sponsored by Dr. Dre.
The headphones are advertised inside the Bus in the enhanced version of GTA V, advertising the product at $300. The product is intended for hip-hop usage, a clear reference towards Beats electronics.
Although the player is able to buy headphones, music can only be heard in vehicles equipped with a radio or in the player's safehouse.
- The term "beat off" is slang for masturbation.
