The Bentover is a luxury sedan featured in Grand Theft Auto: London 1961.
Description
The Bentover is obviously based on a Bentley S1 Continental or S2 Continental coupe sedan, its name being both a reference to its Bentley design influences and "bent over", a crude sexual reference referring to a bent penis or the act of bending over. The car is distinguished in-game by its long length (comparable to the Royal Stretch in GTA London 1969, but still shorter) and consistently blue body color.
Due to its function as a luxury sedan rather than a high-performance vehicle, the car possesses very poor top speed, virtually as slow as or slower than many low-end vehicles in the game, but above average acceleration and vehicle value, and average braking, grip and durability. While revealed in game files to possess a base export value of £1,100 in mint condition, the Bentover, like the Royal Stretch, cannot be exported due to its size.
Trivia
- The Bentover assumes the car ID of GTA London 1969's Royal Stretch (#43).[1]
- Being based on a Bentley, it is later succeeded by the Cognoscenti and Cognoscenti Cabrio in the HD Universe.
- Bentover may be a play on "bend over", but in real life, there is a company named Bendon, a publishing company specialising in publishing educational books for children. Since "Bendon" and "Bentover" are similar, bendon is possibly a play on "bend on", a sexual reference referring to a bent over penis.
