"There's a kind of charm that only comes with age, and in today's jaded world nothing's aged better than the Cheetah Classic. It's practical, spacious, understated. It oozes red-blooded panache. You open the door, and you catch the smell of brandy and cigars on its breath. It's eminently respectable, it's constantly groping its secretary, and it doesn't even feel the need to pretend it has friends from minority groups. Welcome to the old world."
Legendary Motorsport description.

The Grotti Cheetah Classic is a sports car featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Gunrunning update.

Grand Theft Auto Online

"If you’ve never been able to decide between vintage vogue and cutting-edge chic, the Grotti Cheetah Classic will let you have it both ways. This beauty has been setting trends and breaking records ever since it rolled off the production line three decades ago, so if you want to ooze class and rocket fuel all at the same time, your number just came up. The Cheetah Classic is now available exclusively at Legendary Motorsport."
Rockstar Newswire description.

The car's design heavily resembles the Ferrari Testarossa with elements of the Ferrari 512 BB from its taillights and frontal area. As intended, the car has similarities to the 3D universe rendition of the Cheetah, particularly with its Testarossa influences. Its overall compact design compared to other Grotti vehicles makes it also one of the lightest classic cars in the game, with very nimble handling. Despite the overall size of the car, it still features a large V12 engine mounted in front of the rear axle.

The car's frontal fascia is heavily based on that of the Testarossa, taking key features such as the popup headlamps and grille placement. Unlike the Testarossa, however, the Cheetah Classic lacks indicators, and instead features twin lamps besides the grille. On the bonnet itself, a vent is found by stock, appearing as a rather large grated metal plate laid across the bonnet. Directly behind is the radiator heat vent which would allow hot air to exit the vehicle.

The side profile is most prominent for its dual side intakes which allow airflow to reach both the rear brakes, and the engine intake manifolds for intake air, and for cooling purposes. Small "GROTTI" word marks are found on the black skirts, which matches the Cheetah's side word marks which are found behind the front arches.

The rear of the car features engine louvers which are separated into separate sections, which would ideally allow air to release from each side of the engine, conforming with the intakes found on either side of the engine bay.

The car's secondary color allows a stripe to be painted along the top of the car, similar to the Turismo Classic.

The car's performance is average for its class, being similar in statistics to the Mamba, albeit with a larger amount of torque and consequently, better acceleration. The Cheetah Classic features a large V12 engine placed in a mid-rear position, powering the rear wheels. Said engine is also seen on the Turismo Classic.

GTA Online - Grotti Cheetah Classic -Gunrunning Update-

Grand Theft Auto Online

  • Based on the description on the Rockstar Newswire, the Cheetah Classic "has been setting trends and breaking records ever since it rolled off the production line three decades ago", suggesting it was one of the fastest cars in the 80s.
  • The design of the stock hood seems to be an oversight. The grille on the bonnet would be designed to allow warm air from the radiator to escape from the vehicle (where it would enter via the bumper grille), but the design of the grille on the Cheetah Classic is much more like an intake. Given the fact the vehicle lacks an initial air-conditioning grille in front of the window, it could serve purpose for the aircon system, assuming the car utilises one, while the metal grille positioned in front of this intake would act as a cooling unit for air to be released from.
  • The lamps located in the bumper are non-functional.
