The Compact Grenade Launcher is based on the M79 grenade launcher with a pistol grip. As the name suggests, it is a compact version of the Grenade Launcher, where it loads a single grenade round in a similar fashion to the The Lost and Damned version of the Grenade Launcher.
It is the first Heavy weapon that can be used in drive-bys, albeit strictly on motorbikes. However, the player has to exercise caution, as getting too close to the target when in use can destroy the player's vehicle as well, even killing the player in the process.
- When fired, the grenade shell is larger than what it is in the barrel. This can be seen via Rockstar Editor.
- The player does not eject the casing while reloading. It simply disappears right before they put a new shell in the barrel.
