The Compact Grenade Launcher is based on the M79 grenade launcher with a pistol grip. As the name suggests, it is a compact version of the Grenade Launcher, where it loads a single grenade round in a similar fashion to the The Lost and Damned version of the Grenade Launcher.
It is the first Heavy weapon that can be used in drive-bys, albeit strictly on motorbikes. However, the player has to exercise caution, as getting to close to the target when in use can destroy the player's vehicle as well.
- When fired, the grenade shell is larger than what it is in the barrel. This can be seen via Rockstar Editor.
- The player does not eject the casing while reloading. It simply disappears right before they put a new shell in the barrel.
