I'm not a huge soda drinker but I noticed today on a can of Sprite that it is owned and made by Coca-Cola. Since Sprunk is the GTA equivalent of Sprite, and eCola references Coke, possibly both brands are owned by the same parent company? I'm not aware of anywhere in the games that says anything to the contrary. It's interesting if they are the same company, since that would be a cool piece of trivia they put into the game you have to hunt around for.

:I don't think you can see they are related. Sure their real life counterparts are related but you can't know that for sure. And the fact that Niko always chooses a Sprunk no matter what the machine is could just because the makers thought that one is enough (who will really notice?).--[[User:Thescarydude|Thescarydude]] 19:51, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Forums GTA Could eCola own Sprunk?

Hi, new to the forums so sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I am always interested in the in-game marketing and how real the GTA is made to be.

I guess it's accepted that Sprunk and eCola are rival soda companies but could there be a chance that they are the same? I would have to double check, but I am pretty sure in GTAIV the red eCola vending machines have green buttons on them (possibly to choose Sprunk) and Niko receives a green can from them.
