I know GTA4 was a masterpiece but I have to ask: Does anyone like the new serious dramatic approach of the GTA games or prefer the chaotic, silly, and sick way the older GTAs were? Another question what locale do you want the series to go? I like the dramatic approach and I would like it in a Canadian setting.

- It's a newer technology generation now. Most gamers want better definition on their games and, as you all know, change brings more change. So along with the better definition comes more serious gameplay. So no, I don't believe we'll be driving fully fortified tanks through the streets of Alderney any time soon.

- A Canadian setting would be much to my liking, too. Montreal and Vancouver would be the best cities to duplicate as both are very cosmopolitan and have colorful crime histories. I'd especially like to see GTA: City of Ice in a Montreal-like setting.
Whatever R* do to the GTA Series, they must keep it in the USA,and only at major cities.
The whole charm of the GTA series is the american dream, the american cities, with all due respect,no Canadian,Europian or Asian setting will work, not for GTA atleast.
About the direction the series took with drama,I dont like it that much,I was always comforted with the silly overall atmoshpere, but GTA IV has enough of it,and it's dramatic ending is just like every other GTA's,maybe a bit more dramatic, but overall, its comparable to San andreas' ending and Vice city Stories'.
People keep suggesting real cities too, part of GTA's charm is that it is subtle take on american life, the oversized engines in cars, the exaggerated use of guns etc. setting it in a real city, especially one out of america, would ruin it. (and im not even american!)
I much rather the 'new' GTA IV way. I find it more fun. Is that weird? --Stankers 20:34, December 16, 2009 (UTC)
I like to see gta go into a florida type area (wouldn't it be cool if there was a few missions where you had to kill a specific target and then have to dump him into a swamp!) or continue on with liberty city (possibly vice city) but it would be nice to see san andreas again but with a little bit more realism because san andreas was (i'll admit) fun but it wasnt as fun as it could have been. Where-as if they re-make it it would oviously have better graphics and with feedback that people have been giving after GTA IV was released I would assume they would let us choose the race, voice, and maybe even gender. could really make a much better game if they did it that way! But that's just my opinion!
- I am definitely against a form of role playing like you described. The basic core of GTA doesn't have extensive role playing. It's mainly about telling the story of one unique person. This is GTA, not SR. GTA should be innovating itself instead of copying core aspects of other games.--Spaceeinstein 01:37, December 17, 2009 (UTC)
