So most people say the Police Patrol is based off of an older generation Chevy Impala Cruiser. I think its a Seventh Generation Impala Cruiser. We have 2 here in Michigan. What are your thoughts? Its cool if you disagree, thats what im making this thread for!!
I think it is obviously a 7th generation, however I think thats what they mean by "older", that is its not the current model. Perhaps the 7th generation info could be added to the article. Hbriz 04:58, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Indeed, the front end and the body of the Police Patrol bear considerable resemblance to a 7th-Gen Impala. Where the taillights came from, I don't know. NYPD does use the 7th and current-gen Impala (one just passed by my house), so I'm guessing based on the detail of the game, Rockstar did some thorough research. -Bigpoppa9

You know the page on the Merit has a more detailed description of it, since it is just the civilian version of it. And it doesn't take much research to know that 7th gen Impalas are commonly used all throughout the USA. --Thescarydude 20:12, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
