The Shrewsbury Heavy Shotgun is a weapon featured in Grand Theft Auto V. It was added to the game with the Last Team Standing Update.
Description
The weapon is mainly based on the Russian Saiga-12 shotgun, a shotgun version of the well-known AK-47. The variant seen in-game is a Saiga-12K, a modernized version equipped with a shorter barrel and a folding stock, which is used by law enforcement forces in the United States.
The Heavy Shotgun is semi-automatic (though it appears to fire fully-automatic) and, due to its slug rounds, is capable of dealing high damage at long ranges. It is effective against human targets and has painfully high damage against vehicles, as it can remove the doors from an armored Kuruma in a single shot and disable or destroy the vehicle in less than twenty. It does, however, suffer from a very low magazine capacity and lower efficiency in close-quarters due to its semi-automatic slugs.

Trivia
- The Heavy Shotgun uses Slugs instead of the standard Buckshot. This is the first shotgun in the GTA Series to do so.
- It is the second shotgun to be able to use alternative rounds instead of the more common rounds. The Explosive Shotgun is first, using FRAG-12 Rounds.
- The lettering on the left side of the gun in first-person misspells 12 gauge as "guage".
